The environment was super pleasant and relaxing. Most of the food was delicious too! The restaurant is clean and the service was really good. We recommend the lobster dumpling and the veggie dumpling, they were the best! The most surprising food item, however, was the fried dough that came with the scallop congee. It was the best we’ve ever had in our lives! So crispy and flavorful. Overall this is the best place in Toronto if you want to have dim sum! We will come back again as soon as we can!
Food was unique, very flavourful but a bit on the salty side. Server made a recommendation on the rice first picture which turned out better than expected. Prices were on the high end Chicken - good use of arugula and truffle Beef Tenderloin - probably the best I had at a Chinese restaurant. Very soft and tender Veggie wrap - good use of carrot and Chinese mushroom. Soft and juicy on the inside, crunchy on the outside. Nice gesture for the restaurant to give rose on the table to the evening guest for free. The set menu for valentine's day was too expensive so we chose the a LA carte option instead
High end spot for authentic Cantonese cuisine. The only one I’ve seen downtown. Food quality and cook is best you can get. We enjoyed their set menus, and dim sum. Come for a special occasion and splurge on the seafood. Attentive service from friendly staff.
I've walked by this place a few times whenever I visited downtown TO but never went in. But then I recently saw this restaurant on a recent blogTO video, and decided next time I go downtown from Scarborough I will try this place. Boy was I glad I tried it. I ordered some dim sum, but when I saw every other table order a lobster dish. I had to get one myself. So I got the lobster with fried noodles. I can say everything was delicious. The dim sum was on point with higher quality dim sum u can get in Markham or Richmond Hill. I will back again and looking forward to try their other Cantonese dishes
$60/ea person including tax and tips. We were too full to walk afterwards… Luxury decorated, friendly and professional staffs. Food was amazing, both in presentation and taste. Peking Duck was authentic, according to my friend from Beijing with us that day. Definitely gonna try lobster next time!
I’ve been here a few times either having dim sum or dinner meals. As a Chinese with high standards of food, I have to say the quality of this restaurant is absolutely spectacular. Friendly restaurant, excellent food & tea and reasonable price. Definitely better than the ones up at Markham or Richmond Hill, or I can even say the best in Toronto. Everything is just spot on. Came all the way from
Liked the calm and quiet for a dim sum place. They have a full menu that looked really good as well but just wanted a dim sum lunch Thought the dim sum was okay. It felt like the food had been sitting for a while and dry. Chicken feet was a bit bland. Wouldn't get the mushroom bean curd, very oily and just taste of fried batter. The scallop and shrimp dumpling tasted very pasty and the wrapper is very thick The supreme shrimp rice roll, shrimp cake and squid was good but nothing special behind them The ambiance is nice and that reflects the higher dim sum prices
I’ve only tried the dim sum menu. It’s a very clean and efficient restaurant and probably the best dim sum you can get in the heart of downtown, but personally it doesn’t hold a candle to the ones over in Chinatown. Having said that, the lobster entrees look tremendous and I’ll have to judge the regular menu for it self. When it comes to the dim sum / breakfast menu, I wasn’t too impressed. There are some premium items you wouldn’t normally get anywhere else, however I found them a little on the salty side for the premium price.
Extraordinary Peking duck ! I’ve been craving authentic Peking duck for a long time. I couldn’t find any in Quebec so I went to Toronto to enjoy Chinese cuisine and found this gem in downtown. It’s really worthy to drive 6 hours in order to enjoy this meal! Service was also really good. The waiter was caring and kind. The environment was just like Cantonese resto I went in Asia ! I’d def drive 6 hrs for this duck again. I definitely would recommend it!!
You’ve got to try the Braised Eggplant with Chili Sauce, absolutely to die for! Great service, tasty cuisine and a very cool atmosphere. Portion sizes were healthy, and the price tag was comfy. Would recommend as a nice date option or a great option for an adult celebration engagement, retirement etc
