Hype around this burger place. As usually in Vancouver. I really hope that they will quickly change their burger as there are tons of way better options out there and people knows that. We were a group of 5 and every single of us had the same idea and agreed that we won’t return. The patties are so thin, McDo**** style, and the bun arrived coldI guess they “grilled” it for a bit and left it sitting there while the patties were cooking. The ingredients are below the average for me. Nothing tasted amazing or had an wow effect. It comes in a huge box but the actual burger is really small.seems to be a perfect marketing strategy I got a double cheese and burgers with bacon combo with fries and soft drink. For the price point, which is kind of high for a fast food restaurant, there are better options. I gave 1 star only because of the ice cream. Our server was great5*!friendly and authentic. We loved them.
Had this place popping up on my fyp recently. Was a bit worried as reviews seemed to be mixed, but it turned out to be a pleasant experience. Loved their vibes, great atmosphere overall. Tried their wrangler burger combo, the portions were huge we couldn’t finish the fries. Bit pricy tbh but would go there again to try other burgersFood: 4/5
Would recommend arriving early as there is always a long line up for this restaurant. I would say the burger is pretty high quality and the fries were also really good. However it definitely is on the pricey side for a combo.Food: 4/5
Called as was having issue with uber eats ordering takeout. Customer service was AMAZING! Down to earth, easy to talk to and had milkshakes thrown in for free when I explained the option wasn't available when it should be. If you have any issues call and they will do their best to accommodate! Food is super tasty too! Highly recommend
I cannot hide my disappointment. I walked into this newly opened burger shop with excitement and high expectations, only to leave feeling empty. Let me put it this way: the food isn’t hard to eat, but that’s just about it. The fries are good, as good as those from regular fast-food chains. The thickness of the burger patty might be the thinnest I’ve seen in Vancouver. Is it tasty? It’s okay, but honestly, it might only be slightly better than a whopper burger, not to mention that the prices are not cheap at all. The milkshake is just….a milkshake. This is a very classic ‘KOL restaurant’.
I got the King Monzo burger and fries and both were delicious. The burger is well put together, I was seated at the bar facing the kitchen and the person who assembles the burger is meticulous — kudos to him for making them so perfect. The double beef patty was well seasoned and the Monzo sauce is really savoury tastes of garlic, mayo, onion? The beef fat fries definitely tastes different than fries from elsewhere, it’s worth trying I think. They were crispy and crunchy and I enjoy the beefy flavour. Next time I’ll try the onion rings and gelato milkshake. Sorry photos look so yellow, it’s light coming from the yellow curtain at the bar
Maybe going on opening day isn’t such a good idea. We waited 35 minutes for our food after ordering. We did receive many apologies and were given coupons for our next visit, so that was good. The burger itself was delicious and the fries and onion rings were decent but barely warm. It was $22 for a combo too, which sure isn’t great value. Will definitely go back and hope they have all the issues sorted out.
Fresch and nice chiken burgertip to restaurant; try to burger look more fancy. It does not require a lot of effort but will make a big difference. Service also good nice guy asking is everything was ok. However food was way to expensive. I mean it was tasty but not as ”Italian restaurant with vine tasty”.
Update OCT 9 2023: husband tried the cheeseburger yesterday. Ordered takeout, waited at the bar and the servers were good/attentive got him water and refilled while waiting. Cheeseburger had lots of onions and mustard, so it’s a plus if you like that. Compared it to McDonald’s-style and said it tastes better, but doesn’t think he’ll crave this in the future compared to others - I see lots of reviews that are into it, so this just might not be our style of burger! Thanks Monzo for reaching out and taking the feedback into consideration. — Went during first week of opening. Was excited to see a new burger joint in the neighborhood. Take out wasn’t allowed so we sat in; took about 30-40 min to order and get our food. Understandably busy, and workers are getting their bearings. At first glance the chicken Milano looks legit with the wide patty, but could’ve been been much thicker/juicer, with more sauce. And the buns would just form into your fingers as you ate into the burger. Got the hamburger and was surprised how thin the patty was, also could’ve used more sauce, and the buns became a pancake after holding onto it. For $17 and $8 burgers was hoping for a tastier experience. Dips/sauces were Heinz packs - would be cool to have in-house signature sauces instead. Also ordered the beef fries but they gave us veggie by mistake we didn’t bother exchanging. Taste was fine enough but the amount of fries served for $5 was less than expected… Might try again hoping that we just had a not so great batch, but for those prices it’s expected to taste better than most fast food and compete against other legit burger places.
Very good atmosphere. I ordered the King Monzo, and it was SO juicy. I enjoyed every bite. Try it and you will know what I’m talking about. Overall, it exceeded my expectations, and I will be back for sure.Food: 5/5
