Definitely worth going to on Sunday's! I highly recommend it. From the monument, you have access to all the trails and beautiful views of the city. I would recommend starting here and walking to Beaver Lake and then the look outs. You'll have amazing views and get a truly authentic Montreal experience. Go and check it out! In the fall with the foliage, it's BEAUTIFUL!!
I was there to protest against fascism tRump so I didn't get to explore but it's a great open space! Easy to get to! 20 mins walk from the metro.
Mont Royal Park has so much to offer. It is my favorite place to walk through the many trails and feel immersed in nature in the middle of the city. It is huge, beautiful and there are many places to discover and enjoy.
Quite the imposing monument, dated to the early twentieth century in a time of Anglo-European certainty, privilege and optimism. The Great War World War I savagely ended that. It's an intentionally grand monument, backed by Mont Royal, deserving of a four-stop curcumabulation to contemplate from a distance and close up the monument's excellence in design and quality. Later commemorative attempts could not compete.
Great place for soaking up the sun and enjoy the Tam-Tams the weekly free festival where every Sunday afternoon during the warmer months, at the base of the George-Étienne Cartier Monument obelisk, groups of friends, strangers, and percussionists from all walks of life gather to form communal drumming circles.nIn addition to the drum circles, you'll find all sorts of artisans and craftspeople selling their wares.
