Delicious and fresh pastries and bread! The staff is friendly and helpful and the prices are very reasonable as well. They have the best danishes! I would highly recommend trying the Cherry Custard Danish, Cinnamon Bun and Roasted Red Pepper Focaccia Bread

The croissant the best in city imo tastes like butter, crispy, and so light tasting. The other favourites are their fruit and cinnamon pastries. The dough is so good and it does skimp on the fruit! If the place is busy prepare to wait and be sure you know what you want when it is your turn. The ladies serving are awesome and they want the line to move, so be kind. The bread is also good, so be sure to try it as well

This European-inspired bakery has been around since the 1960’s! They make old-school breads, pastries, pies, and pastries. When I’m in the area, I pick up their whole wheat hamburger buns, rolls, cinnamon rolls, and Bienenstich German Bee Sting cake. The first time I had this cake, I thought, wow, this is amazing. The next few times I bought it, there were inconsistencies, so I haven’t purchased it again. I usually speak with Rose Mary, who is absolutely engaging and super friendly!

The ONLY place in Scarborough for strudel, danish and hot-cross buns. They also bake bread and so much more. This place is the real deal and Rosemary who work behind the counter is a gem!!!

The Apple strudels and danishes are the best! I have been here several times and each time I get served by Rosemary. She is the absolute best and her customer service is the reason why I keep coming back! She is very friendly and recommends so much delicious things to try. Highly recommend this bakery!

I always buy their Hot Cross buns at Easter. They are so fresh and flavourful. That’s is just one item that’s outstanding at Montmartre Bakery. All their other items like all kinds of breads, danishes, pies, pretzels etc are beyond delicious. Rosemary, one of the lovely ladies, runs off her feet to try to please all customers. She has helped me twice and gone out of her way to fill my order when the shelves have been almost empty. That’s how popular this bakery is. Rosemary makes us want to come back every time! Lovely lady assisting us with the delicious varieties of danishes we normally get apple and cherry custard, pretzels, croissants, and Apple strudels… they’re super affordable, fresh, and so so delicious! This is one of the best bakeries ever! Rosemary who works there is outstanding and makes it so fun! We were too late for the pretzels, but left with wonderful danishes, sunflower bread and an apple strudel. They are all amazing! Drop in if you're in the area and see for yourself.
