Absolutely wonderful! From the front desk to the dental chair, everyone is welcoming and friendly!! My daughter LOVES the dentist now. She was extremely afraid of the dentist when we first started going, had to be sedated or given laughing gas to calm her. Now she goes in confident and excited to get her teeth cleaned and any work done. Dr. Jonathan and Dr. Jennifer have done wonders for her My 3 yr old son also enjoyed his visit, they were so awesome with him that I was literally in tears with how well he did. It is good to know that he does not sit well for long periods of time especially when there are people touching him and getting really close. He is pretty excited about his check up this month as well!! 100% would recommend this dentist!
In 2021, my daughter had covid and we canceled the appointment to protect the staff obviously and everyone else involved. Fast forward to today, I tried making an appointment and was told that I had to pay CAD 50 because of the missed appointment. So what this amounts to is me having to pay the clinic because I decided to protect your staff. Ridiculous! Don't get me wrong, the rating will still be a two star because this clinic is good at what it does, it just that this policy makes zero sense.
Yesterday, I brought my sons to Monarch for their first post-pandemic checkup. The office was spotless, and their friendly reception staff guided us through their strict health and safety protocols in a way that made us feel safe and welcome. The hygienists were kind, gentle and took the time to explain every treatment in kid-friendly terms. My son later remarked that Mimi is very good at what she does. Dr. Mark is a thorough dentist who’s exceptional with kids, generous with his time, and even took a selfie with the kids to celebrate no cavities!
This is the best Pediatric Dental Clinic! Both my daughter and boy love this place. Dr. Shan is the BEST! “She has very soft hands” quoted from my daughter who has her teeth removed and other teeth filled by Dr. Shan. Very nice environment and very kind staffs. I wish they do take adult patient lol.
Patient and professional. Been visiting for years at this location and the Burnaby location and saw a few doctors, all of them are awesome! Extremely pleased to have them take care of my kids' oral health.
I’ve been to all of the other Monarch locations and had never left feeling negatively except for this Surrey location. The receptionist was rude, rude enough that I’ll never come back to this location and actually having thoughts of finding my kid a new team of dentists altogether. As the receptionist at front desk, you’re the first and last impression of a business so it’s important you’re friendly and approachable. I’m really unimpressed.
I take all 3 of my children to Monarch Dental. And each time we have been greeted and "cared for" by amazing staff. Our most recent visit was for 2 fillings for my 5 year old son. Dr. Jonathan was amazing. The care and effort that was made to ease my son's nerves and to make him feel comfortable surpassed any of my expectations. I would absolutely recommend this dental office for anyone with children!
We were recommended to Monarch by a friend and so glad we came. My Daughter had multiple cavities which meant multiple visits. But Dr. Jonathan was so amazing with her. She was nervous, upset and scared and they handled it like pros! They were so patient with her and empowered her to be brave and calm. Their techniques for working with kids are amazing and they are so fast and efficient. Even with a scared, nervous child, they still managed to build a healthy relationship between “dentist and child”. I am so happy with Dr. Jonathan and his assistant!
We absolutely love going to Monarch! The entire staff there is amazing, I feel like we have dealt with mostly everyone and they’re all so good. My kids cannot wait to go to the Dentist, they get so excited to see everyone and especially Dr. Jonathan. The dentist should be fun and a positive place to go, and they make every effort to make you feel like you’re at home and most importantly making it somewhere you want to go back. We’re so happy we chose to bring our kids there and would recommend to anyone!! Thanks again for such great care we truly appreciate it.
The doctor and his assistant did a great operation for my daughter and they deserve 5 stars. Only negative impression was the highly offensive lady at the front desk. She immediately judged me when she saw my son whom I had to take with me since there was nobody available to take care of him. I felt really frustrated however chose to stay calm because I didn’t want to get my daughter down before the operation.
