Monarch Espresso Bar

Just remembered the name of this place after visiting it 2+ years ago. Had a great night. Great place off of the beaten path.

What's not to love. Probably the chillest bar in the city. A no judgement karaoke night. Proper stacks of food. Event space below for bands. And it's off the main College st. strip.

Great venue to see some up and coming bands. Positive and safe atmosphere for all patrons.

Feels like the oldest bar around. Just the right amount of grime. Looks sticky but it's not. A single pool table. A single pinball machine. The filaments burn bright but the light is low. The classic fries are outstanding. Wet and dry options for your wings. Competent, capable keeps. Recommend!

Amazing bar! One of the oldest in Toronto. Mike, one of the owners is the best! The upstairs is a traditional pub and the downstairs has a stage for live bands most weekends. Great vibe and awesome staff!

Love the Monarch! We recently held a charity event here and it was fantastic. The owner and staff are fantastic! Great food and drinks as well. Our event was so successful and we owe a lot of it to The Monarch. Thanks so much for making our event such a great day!

Great staff and very relaxed vibe. The people there are easy to talk to. I didn't try the menu but the beer was a reasonably priced
