Mole Hill is a heritage housing community in the heart of the West End. It sits in the block framed by Thurlow, Pendrell, Bute, and Comox Streets, two blocks north of Davie Street and one block west of Burrard.
Mole Hill is governed by the Mole Hill Community Housing Society, which was founded in 1999. The first house of Mole Hill was built in 1888, just two years after the City of Vancouver was founded.
The Society’s mission is to provide and advocate for secure, affordable housing for low and middle income singles, seniors and families within enviro-conscious, intact heritage housing and streetscapes. The Society aims to foster community that integrates partnerships and diverse service groups and to create open public spaces for the enjoyment of tenants and the wider community.
