Always wanted to try this place ever since I heard they were setting shop. Miznon is an Israeli food chain that expanded into Toronto. The food the atmosphere and the vibe of the restaurant is unique. I got to sit near the bar and the kitchen and I got to see my food being prepared. The pita was good both fluffy and had a good crunch with the folded cheese burger. Everything tasted fresh.
Wait a few more months before going, if you don't mind spending more than $30 to be full on street food. While I thoroughly enjoyed the lamb kebab pita, as someone with a small appetite, I was still starving by the time we left, and the pita was over $18! With that price I was expecting some side dishes, but no, just a side of "hype" was included. Food would've been amazing at a reasonable price at $12. The restaurant was uncomfortable for people dining in, when folks are frequently hovering for a seat even though we went at 4:30PM on a Sunday to avoid the crowd. I would not go back again, but if you're adamant on trying, I'd highly recommend going when the weather is warm and eating it at a park nearby. You might need to share with squirrels but it's better than the scowling people who will hover over you at the restaurant. And the staff ain't doing anything about how their customers are enjoying themselves either. Defeats the purpose of dining in.
The food was fresh and tasted great. We ordered the falafel burger 2.0 and the lamb burger I think. Lamb was cooked to perfected. The pita bread was so good that we were almost full with just the bread. The service was super quick and lovely as well.Recommended dishesHummus You, Lamb Kebab in a PitaDietary restrictions accommodatedVegetarian, VeganRecommendation for vegetariansSomewhat recommendVegetarian offeringsClearly labeled vegetarian dishes
Very unique and fun experience; successfully mimics the bustle and hustle of a street food vendor, with excellent exotic food, cool décor and chill vibes. You need to wait on a table, it's first-come-first-serve basis. On the other hand you can get cozy wherever you're comfortable. We walked in a couple, and waited for about 20 minutes until 2 spots opened on the bar. Then we sat and ordered. Place was jammed packed, but team stayed on top of everything. We got a drink, a main and a side each, At $45 per person tax & 18% service included. I'd say it's good value for money, as the experience is unique and I highly recommend it.
I really like the place atmosphere and vibe, it's vivid and happy as for the food you'll definitely enjoy it. Great pita bread as for the prices they are bit on the higher end for a quick bite restaurant. But overall worth the visitFood: 5/5
This place is not bad but not worth the hype. The sandwiches aren’t very substantial and not very flavourful. My sandwich was very spicy barely had anything besides cauliflowers. Customer service is ok. The waiter put my sandwich in the table without the holder. The ambiance is a tad stressful as there is high traffic and people hover over to grab a table.
The food was amazing, the vibe and staff were great too! We got the folded cheeseburger and candy steak and both were great! All the food looked amazing, I’ll go back to try the other items on the menu for sure!!
Israeli chain, Miznon, has come to TO. We got a "cheeseburger", hummus and a lamb kebab. It was fresh and delicious! The pitas are so fluffy, warm and scrumdidliumptious. If you don't like crowds, I recommend waiting a while till the hype dies down. Otherwise, it's worth it. When it's busy, it's hard to find seating. I have to say I was impressed with the bussers who were friendly in the height of all the busyness. They smiled and didn't talk to you with the annoyed Toronto attitude. Loved it! I would say price is a bit high, almost $20 per item but certainly delicious. They didn't have warm drinks either which was a bummer. Washrooms are available at back. Restaurant is ‍ accessible but some spaces are tight and ordering counter is high.
Amazing food. Had the lamb kabab and the cheese burger. Good portion size and great options. The staff is amazingly nice and helpful. You must try this place. It is amazing! Vegetarian options: I am told the mushroom pitas are amazing. Next time trying it with the baked cauliflower.
Quality of the food is Probably the best pitas in the GTA - so soft pillowy. They don’t do delivery so you’ll need to actually go inside. There aren’t many seats and they don’t take reservations. Vibe is pretty causal and good also for takeout. Highly recommend the cheeseburger ! There’s a lot of pickles in the sandwiches but the flavours are delicious. Prices are high for a sandwich but it does taste good. I’ll be coming back to try other stuff on the menu
