Mio Stone Grill and Sushi

Good except for the part that wasn't ............ Food was quite good, and the servers were friendly. I had to drop a few stars though just like our server dropped a glass of diet pop on our table splashing both of us and breaking the glass. This in and of itself is not a huge deal. The mess was cleaned up and the drink replaced, there was however no gesture made by the restaurant to compensate for the loss of experience. When dinner for two hits $100.00 at a place like this I know they have room to do something in the way of an apology. I wasn't expecting anything extravagant but I do expect an effort to he made to acknowledge that something was off with the expected experience. The food was good, but not so good that I can't get just as good of a meal somewhere else. Service is what makes or breaks the experience. Good customer service isn't just about minimizing mistakes that are made, it's about how you react when things go wrong and tonight Mio failed to make it right, and so 2 stars rather than 5 for the sake of what realistically would have been a $4-5 dollar comp on the bill.

My favorite place in Airdrie, everything is fresh and I've been there tons and they haven't messed up an order yet and once for a delivery I dropped the broth for my ramen and they offered to replace it if i picked it up. Everybody there is sweet 10/10

I love the staff here. They always remember my allergies and are great about making things gluten free. It's very family friendly and the food tastes great too.

Food is good but service and wait times were awful. We had three people having about 30 pieces total of sushi. Our first order took about 20 minutes to first arrive and it took very long waves of the rest of the sushi pieces to come. Then after we decided we were still a bit hungry we ordered 15 more pieces...it took 45 minutes to get it! And we only got it when I went up to the cashier and explained we had been waiting, and the few people who were getting their food continuously throughout the night have been getting theirs. The waiter looked to the kitchen and just went 'uhhhhhhhh' and murmured something then walked into the kitchen. 5 minutes later we had our food. No apology, no discount or anything. So we gave no tip. Something exactly similar happened a year back at Kinjo and they admitted they were really busy and dropped our order accidentally. All food was reimbursed and we ate $150 worth of food for free.

stopped in for lunch, staff were very friendly. Had the lunch combo, hot food was hot and fresh, sushi was fresh, a great experience! Will definitely visit again.
