Decent place for South Indian tiffins. A few items very too oily. Seating is spacious and the staff is polite & professional. Prices are reasonable comparatively and can be considered once in a while.
Fantastic ambience and authentic south-Indian food. Servings were generous, staff was courteous, clean and almost calm place to have brunch, lunch or dinner. By far, my best South Indian meal experience in Canada. Will definitely go again!
A perfect South Indian tiffin restaurant. Went for dinner. This place serves varieties of idly, dosa, pesarattu, bonda, punugulu, mirchi bajji, juices, rice items, thallis, shakes, filter coffee and much more. Happened to order upma pesarattu, Karam masala dosa, vada, puri, sugarcane juice, Sambar idly. The chutneys and Sambar have really good taste. The quantity of food served is good for the price range most of them are $7.99Although some of them took time to be served everything was freshly made and served. The taste was authentic South Indian. The new location has plenty of space for seating, parking, and has some pleasant vibes.
Visited this place for Sunday brunch on a friend’s recommendation and was not disappointed at all! The place has recently opened up in a new and huge location. Their service was sloppy however won’t be harsh as it was their opening day. Their punugulus, Karam dosa and paneer dosa were really good. I have loved Hyderabad’s street food and the taste was as good as the food I ate back there. The chai and poori bhaji were good too! Will definitely try their South Indian thali next time.
Now the restaurant is in a new space and it is really nice. The ambience is good. The food however was not as great as they were earlier when the restaurant was in a food court. They have good number of breakfast options and food quantity is good. We ordered 1. Vada sambar: the vada was average. 2. Poori bhaji: this was good. 3. Pizza dosa: it was average 4. Onion karam uttapam: this was good 5. Mirchi Bhajji: this was pretty hot and nice. The peanut chutney however was not upto the mark. The tomato chutney was good. Overall it was not bad, it was and average experience. but since I had tasted good food here earlier, this time I felt it didn’t meet my expectation.
My third visit all together and first time dine in. We ordered two Masala Dosas and 1 Pao Bhaji. Amazing experience! Dosas and Pao Bhaji reminded us of authentic street style delicious Delhi food! We requested for crispy dosas. We were informed by the staff that should we need a crispy version of a Dosa, we must request for it as they have to modify the batter to get the crispness. When served, Dosas were actually perfectly crisp to our liking. Aloo Masala was in perfect quantity for the Dosa. Chutneys were tasty and not spicy. Sambar was very delicious; I had to order extra because for me the quantity was a bit less AND it was very delicious. Pao Bhaji was delicious too. Very clean sitting area and washrooms. Very friendly staff. My new go to place for South Indian food now! Keep up the grate taste and service!
Food is delicious and balanced. I tried pessaratu.,it was amazing. Staff is good and quick in their job. Even one female staff remembered me and she informed me that this time they have pessaratu.. first time their stock was over and we were late so I don't had a chance to try new dishes. Even shakes and refreshing drinks are also good. Ambiance is lovely. Recommend everyone to
Minerva the name itself is so nostalgic for Hyderabadis. Surprisingly the food is absolutely amazing. Their thali is to die for, tasty range of dishes and absolutely home food taste. I was visiting Toronto from Halifax and we tried this. I so wish Halifax had a Minerva too. Please open one here, there is a huge demand.
Had dinner on a Monday evening and every item we ordered was so delicious and tasty. The restaurant's ambience is good and place is so hygienic with a very good and friendly staff. I am definitely going to visit this restaurant again and satisfy my cravings. Below are the items we have ordered: 1. Mirchi bajji - authentic Indian style and yummy served with onions and coconut chutney 2. Punugulu - just loved them; served with onions and coconut chutney 3. Mysore bonda - very tasty, served with onions and coconut chutney. This could have been better if served with tomato chutney 4. Pizza dosa - just one word - Exceptional, served with sambar, tomato chutney, and coconut chutney 5. Sambar button idly - idly was as smooth as cotton drenched in mouth-watering sambar 6. Podi dosa - dosa was a bit roastedI like it that way and spicy 7. Minerva Special Upma Pesarattu - pesarattu stuffed with upmaspreaded was so tasty
Nice place for some great south Indian dishes like Dosas, Vada, Idli,Mirchi Bajji, Mysore Bonda, Utappam etc. We had order edthe above and also South Indian Thali. Thali is very good. Only thing that could have been better is White and Palli Chutney that comes with Dosa and Idli. Poori was fantastic, the best I had so far in GTA. Staff is great and very courteous. Service is fast. Overall 4.5 stars.
