We went for a drive from central Wisconsin and found ourselves in Ironwood MI. On a Sunday almost everything was closed. This place had the small diner experience with amazing food. I'm a very good Italian cook but this place had me beat for sure. The have all kids of different dishes and the amount of food was large for the price. I wish we lived closer. I'm a pretty big critic but have 0 negative things to say about this place!

If I had to choose between a bag of Lay's chips or a day at Mike's, I'd choose Mike's! Off to the said chance that Lay's bag o' chips is mostly 70% Air and 30% actually chips, Mike's over-stuffs their platters and makes sure everybody gets that golden food JACKPOT!
I ate a burger at this joint and what I can tell you is that it was buttery, big and worth the money! I'd highly recommend it at the end of a long work day or day of driving and your hungry for some good food. I wouldn't recommend it if you don't carry in your appetite! Expect to get more than you asked for!
The place is small, so I would recommend going there as either a couple or small family. That's really my only complaint, so I'll give it 4/5 stars!

I would highly recommend. We found this place by chance while traveling, about a year ago. We have since made it a point to stop whenever passing by. It is a small roadside diner with a variety of entrees and complimentary cake with each. It has a great variety, service has been top notch, and everything we have tried has been excellent. My wife and I will no doubt keep coming back.

Food was great. Staff super friendly. Clean. Fast. But biscuits and gravy servings were pretty small for the price (two small biscuits split in thin halves). At a couple bucks less, or larger portions, it would be perfect, but 8 bucks is a lot for b&g to leave hungry. I probably won't go back even though the food tasted great.

Wow! Portions were huge! Salads were unbelievable, filled with lettuce, olives, cucumbers, tomatoes, and sweet peppers. We had their homemade ranch, delicious. Their homemade bread was delicious, too. And you get complimentary dessert. Tonight it was cake. It's a good thing I don't live here or I'd be much bigger.
