Middle Beach Lodge

Had a great visit to Middle Beach Lodge - it is a slightly funky and upscale place all at the same time. The cabin we stayed in was comfortable, casual, had a little kitchen, small wood stove, and a charming loft with ladder to access. The main lodge was great - cozy yet spacious, stunning views of the ocean, friendly staff. They put out an excellent continental breakfast, with incredibly good fresh baked muffins and croissants with house made jam. And the dinners are amazing - they make a nightly special entree served with a range of self-serve side dishes and salads, all preceded by an appetizer and cocktail hour in the lodge lounge with crackling fire, and killer view. The staff were also very accommodating and kind to my elderly father-in-law. For all the comments of the bumpy road in ... it's not the lodge's road, and it is no worse than any mountain road or remote road you might find out near the middle of nowhere, and it only lasts for about 400 meters. Anyway - great place!

A beautiful cozy lodge! Great for storm watching! Very hospitable staff and atmosphere. Coffee/tea bar available throughout the day until ~23:00 each night. Candies in jars to munch on. Room sizes in the Beach lodge are very small, but guests tend to gather in the great hall with a bottle of wine (not provided) and some board games (provided) instead.

If I could give this place 10 stars I absolutely would. We stayed here for a week for our honeymoon and they were so incredibly accommodating. Super friendly people plus the fantastic food and accommodations. Cannot beat this place. Nothing but good things to say. The only thing I would have changed was our Jacuzzi tub on our deck would not make hot water. Other then that zero complaints.

Best value in terms of what you get. I don't want to say the name of the hotel but there's this generic one to the South which I would never recommend. But Middle Beach Lodge is amazing. Good food for breakfast, friendly staff and oh-so-cozy atmosphere. Recommendation rating : EXTREME

Amazing little lodge with almost private beach. Friendly and clean. Built from recycled materials. You can feel the history. No TV but WiFi available. Views from most rooms. Quaint and cozy. Close to town but off the beaten path. Continental breakfast was fresh and tasty. Fresh cookies at night. Drinks available most of day and evening. Great for a romantic getaway. Not a family oriented place. The bigger lodge was more family oriented etc. Pet friendly too.
