Microtel Inn & Suites by Wyndham Holland

I recommend that everyone avoid the hotel. My room was filthy, and I was charged $91.00 for not canceling a reservation; the funny thing is that I checked one day early. The receptionist changed my room and never canceled the room that I was first to have; it turns out it was handicapped, and doing the right thing, I changed rooms and got screwed for absolutely doing the right thing.nnSincerelynDanny S

Location was good for what I was doing the days I was there. Motel over all was clean but needs some new paint and updating. There was painters tape in places where someone had started to paint. Staff and service was great. No complaints there. Room was overall clean but had a weird order to it when you opened the door. I don't know if that was ever a smoker room but it smelled like old smoke. Room walls were pretty beat up and in need of patching and painting.

Everything was good. Breakfast was a typical hotel food. A close restaurant nearby. The only thing is that I stayed on the 3rd floor and it smelled bad because someone was cooking in their room. A strong curry odor. I believe people are living there.

If you like the smell of curry, this is a place to stay. All are welcome, including the three homeless cars vans with people living in them in the back lot, where they propped open the door to the hotel. Pet friendly including the dead mice on the walkway. Police presence going into customers rooms.

This may be long but I have been staying here weekly for my job. If you have the means and can go somewhere else, please do it. The price is nice but like Taco Bell, it's not good quality and probably more reasonable if you're drunk. Firstly, it smells dated. No carpet cleaning in God knows how long. Shower head was very dirty so I soaked it in vinegar to take the gunk off. Dirty yellow sheets. Stains on the walls. Stains on the shower curtain. Urine on the sides of the toilet. And my personal favorite, a used coffee cup with new straws and creamers atop. I am a clean freak so I made do but if I had the means, I would not be here. I don't want to clean a hotel room I booked with the expectation that it's already cleaned. I leave notes, have complained to staff, and nothing. I don't even want to bother myself writing this review because they do not seem to care. Only decent thing about this place is the breakfast. Simple, buffet style. Everything else is absolutely disgusting. But it's near my job so I guess the location is good. Note: These were all not experienced in the same room but take from it what you will.
