I thoroughly enjoyed my experience at Mexhico! The interior of the restaurant is very inviting & on a warm day they pull back the windows & let the breeze in! I started with their signature margarita, which I would HIGHLY recommend & moved to the guacamole, which was an absolute stand-out. Likely the best guacamole I’ve ever had. The vegan tacos were delish, overall, a must visit!

The restaurant is beautifully designed to cater to both locals and out of town visitors and delightfully present them with the Mexican culture. There are pictures of the Mexican tarot cards, an arch of sombreros, and floor to ceiling windows letting bright rays of sunlight in. The menu is thoughtfully curated to give you the essence of Mexican cuisine through a plant based approach. We enjoyed the two items we ordered and would gladly visit again to try out more of their menu.

Really, really good food in generous portions and reasonably priced. Proteins were tasty and well-cooked no spongey, mushy seitan here. Our server was so friendly and helpful with her suggestions. The restaurant itself is lovely, well lit, and spacious. Washroom is impeccably clean. There's even a cute little corner with local crafts and food items to-go.

Incredible food , two amazing owners. We felt at home. The food is all vegan but you wouldn't even know it was if your weren't vegan. It tasted incredible. We had the loaded nachos , the portion size is HUGE !! Perfect to share or to even have as a whole meal. It was delicious. Me and my partner both thank you for the great experience. Also we loved the plants and loved that you shared your personal story with us.

TL;DR: Mexhico is the best vegan restaurant I have tried so far. Detailed review: I am a vegetarian and I was looking up for vegetarian restaurants in Barrie. I came across Mexhico which had very good reviews online. My husband and I decided to try this place. Upon arrival, we were greeted by the staff so kindly and enthusiastically that it made us feel extremely welcomed. We were trying out Mexican food for the first time so we had some doubts about the dishes. Cathy was our server and she explained us very well. So then we ordered some drinks, Tacos De Barbacoa, and Mexhico's Stuffed Burger. I must say, the burger was super delicious with a surprise inside the patty. You must try it and experience it by yourself. The tacos were tasty too. The staff is very friendly and their service is extremely nice too. This place is located in the downtown of Barrie and has cute, city vibes. Whenever I go back to Barrie, I will definitely be visiting this place again.

The Double Torch hot sauce that's made fresh to order has an instant kick and lingers nicely. We loved it so much we got a bottle to take home. Again they prepared it fresh to order. The preparation of the Enchiladas is outstanding. The sauces are complex with multiple experiences with each bite. The side rice was cooked perfectly. All the ingredients were fresh and carefully chosen for flavour. The Mexican coffee is brilliant with a great medium flavour and enhanced with cinnamon sugar. The coffee was an excellent paring with the churros. The churros were done so well you would not think they are vegan. The kids meal was disappointing in portion or in cost, either way 2 quesadillas with only vegan, corn/ rice side, 1 juice and 1 scoop of vegan ice cream was worth $15. You are better off getting your children an adult entre for $2 more and having left overs. The portions were good overall but because they are vegan, they are not hearty. We were all hungry before we got home. Overall the prices were a bit high but the general experience value was good. We would recommend everyone to try this restaurant if you are interested in vegan options because it does an excellent job of delivering great taste across the menu.

I’m not a vegan or vegetarian but gave this place still a try since we were feeling like Mexican food during our visit in Berrie. Turned out to be a Vegan place, owner made us aware of it upon entering. The food is so great that we have returned now a few times from mississauga.

This place was a very pleasant surprise. All foods are vegan and crazy delicious that's from a non vegan person. The staff was very pleasant and helpful. The selection of food is great. Would definitely recommend to everyone who loves good food

Omg!!! I’m not vegan, my daughter is a vegetarian so I choose to eat vegan food with her for a Sunday lunch, this is the most amazing vegan food I’ve ever had. The “chicken” fajitas are INCREDIBLE. Anyone who isn’t vegan can eat here and thoroughly enjoy it. It tasted as good as real chicken. The tacos de barbacoa were also delicious. My daughter loved them! This is definitely a place to eat in Barrie. Give it a go! You won’t be sorry.

Incredible authentic food. Was nothing like I expected. *** DO KNOW THIS PLACE IS VEGAN ONLY*** so if you're okay with that come on in. They also checked for both the vaccine certificate QR codes and government ID. Kudos for them for keeping up with what should be done. The staff was very welcoming, friendly and helpful with menu offers and suggestions. If you want to try Mexican cuisine this is the place to go in Barrie!
