Pros: + Good price, big portion + Fresh bread + Delicious Salad with lots of feta cheese. Cons: - cartilage and fat tissue was dominant in the meat. It was hard to chew and be enjoyed for me. - Our order was misplaced. I ordered Pita Club Gyros but they served us with Mixed Lamb/Beef Gyros Pita. As we didn't know the difference, we couldn't find it. However, they knew and updated the bill. I expected them to tell us beforehand and change the dish. All in all, the beef/lamb was not soft. There were lots of fatty and cartilage tissues which made it hard to eat. Maybe their chicken gyros are better... I was a bit disappointed. If I revisit there, I'll update my comment.
As far as I know this place has been there for long time. Hence the interior of it looks pretty old. The restaurant or the place as a whole could use a face lift. Lighting of the place also didn't go well with it's setup. I have to say, food was average. Salad was good but the meat tasted but weird. Cheese pie was ok. Server was polite and cordial.
The pork gyros was excellent. Portions are big and filling. Prices are fair and service was very good. Will definitely go back. The fries with gravy and feta was excellent as well.
One of the best cheap eats on to! I ordered the mixed chicken and pork gyro, and it came out so good! There is a lot of meat inside, and this won't let you not to take a second bite! Highly recommend!
I came here with my family and it was an amazing experience! When I got there, I noticed food was fairly cheap compared to other restaurants so I expected not a lot of food to be in the meals portion wise. Once I finished ordering, it was probably 20 minutes until they brought my food and that was very impressive as they were extremely understaffed when I was there. The food was filling, and delicious. The waitress I had was very nice, and the building was quite clean considering it is in Toronto! I would definitely go here again, and I recommend you do too!
We went to the place expecting authentic Greek food, and that’s what we got! The portion sizes were huge and we loved the taste to the last bite. A definite place to go if you’re craving for good Greek food
Grabbed lunch here with friends and ordered the mixed lamb/beef gyro wrap, Greek fries and calamari. The portion of the wrap is HUGE! It was filled with meat, tzatziki, fries and tomatoes. I wish there was a bit more freshness in there as a dressing or lettuce to help cut the fat. The Greek fries also came in a big portion with a pile of coin cut potatoes and melty feta. I think the potatoes would benefit from being tossed in a seasoning first since it was a bit bland. I also wish the fries and wrap were a bit hotter. The calamari is the must order here. The portion is more than fair for the price and was fried fresh, with thick cut tender pieces that were cooked perfectly.
I loved this place. Excellent attention from the staff, very delicious food, Messine exceeded my expectations. From now, this restaurant will be one of my options for the weekend. The prices are also in a good range. Thanks to Nicolás for the excellent attention and care during our lunch. I loved Greek Town.
Since I visited Greece more than 20 times, I would say the most Greek in this place is the owner. Taste is very familiar but something is missing. Very busy and crowded, fairly large portions, good value for the money. Retsina was very original
The best Greek food I've ever ate in my life. Also the best prices and awesome portions. Fast and friendly service. I couldn't eat it all, so much food, very tasty.
