Mermaid's Seafood Restaurant

Hands down the best seafood place with the most fresh, delicious tasting food. I haven't had authentic Lebanese food in a long time. The welcoming family atmosphere adds an amazing touch to it. Definitely recommend trying it out, you won't be disappointed

Best thing about the place is that you get warm greeting from the family that owns and runs it. Was visiting Ottawa and was looking for a good fish place. Went for the Sea bream and Whiting dinner with a side of hummus. First time eating these fishes and were delicious, hummus was also good. Will surely visit again next time.

The food was very good. The seafood was fresh and had great prices. The portion size was also huge. We had the fried calimari, sauteed shrimp platter and fried sea bream. The fish was cooked perfectly. I will be going back to try the Whiting as they sold out of that. The downside was that the table clothes were still dirty and it took a while to get water. However there was only one server at the time. Overall, a great experience.

Hands down the best seafood restaurant in Ottawa! The dinner and service are always exceptional. You can pick the fish from their incredible choice of fresh fish, and have it grilled, baked or fried to your liking. Fried Red snapper, Sea bass and Whiting are our family favorite. We keep coming back to this restaurant for amazing food and friendly service.

It was out first time trying out this restaurant but will not be the last. We’ll definitely be coming back! All the food was great and very fresh. The service is excellent and very nice people too. The Red Snapper and the Sea Bream are the best!

This is definitely our favorite restaurant in town! The food is always so delicious and fresh and the taste is always consistent. The restaurant is always meticulously clean. You can tell the owner takes great pride in his restaurant and in his community. Its rare nowadays to find a restaurant with such excellent service! The owner and his staff are all SO nice and super accommodating. Mermaids has quickly become a family favorite and we come here often!

Ordered via UberEats for the first time earliest this week after seeing it pop up so many times. Truly impressed with the quality and quantity you get for the reasonably priced combo dishes! Fish was well seasoned not too much and grilled to perfection. The sea bass was AMAZING! Loved their flavourful salad, and not to mention the fries were still crispy when they arrived from delivery. At first my other half was a little sad I didn’t order 2 salmon combos, but after trying the sea bass, he wouldn’t share his plate & preferred it over the typical salmon. Highly recommend!

My colleague Yasser suggested me this place and 4 of my colleagues made a plan for dinner over there. Their food is super fresh, tasty and well presented. The owner was very friendly and have a good sense of humor. Later we got to know from the owner that all the foods were cooked by his wife which makes sense because each and every item was mouth watering. They served us complementary tea in the end which was very refreshing. I will definitely go back to this place and is highly recommended. Parking: You will find a big parking space.

By far the best quality salmon I had in Canada. Superfresh, tasty, well flavored and the rice and salad were delicious as well. The owner recommended the fried sea bass, which was very good indeed. Very friendly and welcoming family.

We visited Mermaid restaurant four days ago, the best seafood restaurant in Canada is this restaurant, I came from Oakville to spend my vacation and my friends recommended Mermaid restaurant as the best regarding the seafood and they were a 100% right It was my first time at Mermaid's and the owner and staff were amazing and welcoming. The food was extremely fresh and delicious, I will definitely comeback again.
