Memaloose State Park

This park has a lot of potential. The park needs some TLC. Not once did I see the hosts or staff working. A site had towels left at the site. Considering there currently is a forest fire you would think the park would be watered generously. The park grass and bushes were dry and hadn't been touched in a long time. However, our site was level but, a lot of highway noise.

Nice, clean campground with some full hook-up sites. Because of the noise, from the highway and train, it's a great place if you have an RV or trailer. I picked a site about halfway between the highway and the train tracks. I should have picked one closer to the train tracks. Great views of the Columbia there! Also, the trains aren't nearly as noisy as the Hwy. All that said, without question, I'd stay again. Only other negative is that there is no off-ramp for the campgrounds on the east bound highway. You have to go 3 miles past the campground to the next exit and come back on the west bound hwy to get here.

This park is a really nice setting and well laid out but scores low due to the noise, being bordered on each side by an interstate and a rail line. Though some could write these off as white noise we found them disturbing. The site is also very windy, though I'm sure it's hard to find somewhere in the area that is not windy, be prepared to batten down your stuff.

Nice little park with a great view of the Columbia River. The restrooms/showers are a bit rough and need some work though. Very little privacy in the spots

If you can put up with the freeway noise it's a great RV campground.
