Beautiful green grass maintained by sprinklers so don't put anything outside of designated tent areas!! One of the nicest campgrounds we've been to, pebble beach, great swimming river where you can cool off and watch boats/trains go by all day. If it was closer to Vancouver, Canada this would be a regular spot!!
We are trying out campgrounds to take out our travel trailer, found an open weekend here, I'm so glad we took it, such a great location, right beside the river. The space we had was a pull through full hookup site pretty much facing the river, what a great view to wake up to in the morning! Each site had a picnic table and fire pit with grill grate. The tent spots all had the same with a space for a tent to be set up. Centrally located bathrooms with showers if you need them. Close to the Stonehenge monument and Maryhill wine in case you wanted to go for lunch! Almost everyone had their dogs along, they need to be leashed at all times of course, but are welcome here. Great time overall, we would come here again, it's just over a 2hr drive from the Portland/Vancouver area. Let me also address the train noise, I read several reviews with people complaining, lol, honestly, it didn't bother us at all, so, I guess that part is personal preference, but the beauty around us far outweighed any noise.
We recently hosted a motorhome rally in the group sure at Maryhill. It worked out fabulously! We had water and electric and our own picnic shelter. There is lots to see sand do on the area. Be sure to see the petroglyphs and pictographs, Stonehenge replica, art museum, wineries and Goldendale Observatory nearby. Watch the sprinklers that come on each day! There can be quite a bit of road noise and trains come through regularly. Still, I would easily go back anytime.
Clean and near the river. There’s a circular, shaded park in the middle of the RV parking area. Well thought out and maintained.
Beautiful park. Park host helped me back into my site. Very grateful. Being in the Columbia River Gorge it was very windy. Sites are bigger than advertised. Was told that I would need to unhook. Not the case.
Great views, river access and nearby stone henge replica. Lots of facilities just across the river in Oregon
Nice spot on the river. Some train noise. Still a great spot with well spaced sites.
Make sure to stop at this spectacular Gorge that you can easily fly by on the Highway and its name has a history, clean bathrooms and good parking,
It was hot, but the shade trees and soft grass at the day use area provided relief, kayak and swimming available.
Great place to enjoy the windy gorge on the Columbia River. Nice swimming beach and clean facilities.
