Sad. I've always loved Maxim's bakeries anywhere and the Coquitlam location was a go to place for us for years. It was my kids' favourite place for family birthday cakes. But for the second time this year, the fruit on the cake tasted (or rather smelled) like something dirty - like a rotten rag, although the fruit (the cantaloupe balls both times, made me think that the fruit was handled with something or hands dirty?) was firm. It was a birthday cake for my daughter and ruined the occasion. I wonder if the chef has changed? In any case, it was very disappointing. Hopefully our stomachs will be okay tomorrow. I don't think I will go back to this location.

Chinese bakery with plenty of buns, cakes and savoury pastries. Love the pineapple buns, Swiss rolls are also pretty fine. Great prices and goods are made in the back of the store. Come early in the day for the best selection and freshest product.

Great for fresh pastries and cream cakes. Wish they opened earlier in the morning.

Key notes: fluffy cake, reasonable prices Cakes and baked goods are always fresh and priced reasonable. The manager at this branch is very friendly helpful.
