To be honest I personally didn't like their spicy fried chicken. It's so plain inside and outside has slightly seasoned. you must try their garlic rice and veggie dish I removed the pork and added chicken and kept the shrimp.. VERY simple flavour but dam good with their garlic rice Cons: It's not worth $50 worth of food for sure! Customer service is amazing .
I'm so happy that the halo-halo tasted like the one in the Philippines but the pork barbecue sucks so bad and was half-cooked. I think this Max's should just stick with chicken since that's what Max's is known for. There was only one server that served everyone in there the whole time and to think that there's an automatic "gratuity" fee, they should add at least another server so that people wouldn't wait too long for their needs water, extra plate, etc. This restaurant is pricey too so we at least expect better service. There's a lot of parking space. Overall, it was okay.
I came here to try the non-breaded fried chicken as I’ve heard so many good things about it. I thought it was just okay, the banana dipping sauce was unique, but not for me. I actually ended up liking the lechon kawali crispy pork belly better. The prices here are way too high.
First off, I don't know much about Filipino cuisine except lechon so take that as you will. We randomly came here cos we were on way north and felt like grabbing a bite. Never heard of Max's before but it was a nice surprise. Instead of sticking with what I know, I decided to try the crispy pata pork hock... and it was amazing! Perfectly cooked with lots of flavour and crunch, and a nice amount of meat on the bone. Really impressed actually cos I've had this done not well at other places. It seems a little expensive to be honest, especially for the lack of ambience. It just feels like any old chain restaurant. And it was pretty empty so maybe that added to the lack of atmosphere. But well... the food was really good and the server Marilyn was very nice. Definitely gonna try this place again.
I had my daughter's first birthday here and I was surprise about how ate Marilyn did on the decorations. So beautiful and she matched the theme of my invitation. I was stress free planning this party, all i had to do is come to the place on that day. Great job ate Marilyn for accommodating all my guests even though its more than i expected. Great service and very tasty food! Love yah!
Above average service and great tasting food. Was warmly welcomed when entering despite a packed Thanksgiving night and the waitress was very attentive. I got the half chicken and for dessert got the Halo Halo shown
Welcoming staff, efficient service and great tasting affordable cuisine. This family of 4 enjoyed our Saturday night dinner here.
Max’s Fried Chicken with a side of the iconic Jufran banana ketchup... it’s something that all Filipinos would be nostalgic about. If you’re a filo getting homesick and just wish for a proper sisig, Kare kare or fried chicken, this is the place to be. Oh and of course they have Halo Halo!!!!!
Great food no rush, cozy and friendly
After a second try still feel like the restaurant is inefficient and understaffed. Many odd stretches of excessive waiting.
