This place is awesome if you like Filipino food! The food selection is great and the place is super clean. Lots of native brand Filipino packaged foods here, with some spattering of Other Asian foods. The staff is super friendly and helpful. It’s a wonderful shopping experience. There are three food court restaurants in this grocery store. They offer “solo” and “value” meal sets; the difference is with the value set, you get an entree. We tried the “#5 value meal” at Grill City, which I thought was pretty expensive. The pork is pretty high quality. I took off a star because of the portions . The entree is super small and not worth the extra money. I would recommend ordering the “solo” meal sets instead.
Great location. You smell the BBQ as you walk through the front door. Yum.! The store is clean and spacious. A long lineup of people trying to get their BBQ. The wait was longer than expected so we didn't shop for grocery. We got the meat platter and squid, taste great.
Clean and well-organized supermarket. Wide variety of exotic fruits, fish, meat, frozen goods and others. A street-food stand has delicious lobster rolls and fried bananas, and more. There is also a dine-in and take-out with a wide variety of grilled food, noodles, etc. Convenient locations with ample parking. Excellent customer service, friendly staff.
Amazing one-stop place to get your breakfast or lunch and takeout for your dinner. The place is clean an well maintained. The food and pastry are fresh and the service is excellent. I'll go back again...and again... again... again..,
If you are in toronto area and are craving for filipino food. This is the place to go. Lots of filipino food options that are ready to go and eat! It is a bit pricey but the food are fresh and delicious! Lots of filipino desserts too. Will definitely recommend!
The first thing I saw when I stepped in the market was a moldy cake. I was so disgusted with this that I didn't want to buy anything else. The market is overpriced compared to most other Asian markets in the surrounding area. The only thing I like at this market is the hot food counter. Their skewers are truly amazing, but other stuff is not very good.
Merchandise does not seem fresh and are very pricey. Better off shopping at Metro, No Frills, Marche Adonis, Walmart, AlPremium.... I guess they figure they can charge extra because there are not many Filipino grocers in Toronto.
It’s a small supermarket with a decent selection of products and vegetables. The seafood section was not as big as I expected but they carry some fish that you don’t find in other supermarkets around the area. There are two big hot table areas with lots of food options at a reasonable price. We grabbed some grilled squids and some fried calamari and shrimps and, we had no complaints about it. Staff was very friendly, although I think that it was a little slow considering that it wasn’t a busy afternoon.
Very clean, brightly lit and big inside. Got food from the stalls and loved it. Had sisig, skewers, and adobo. All were very tasty and fresh!
I love Seafood City! Not sure if you guys know this but this location maybe all, have a fish cleaning and frying service! You can choose a fish of your choice, bring it to the counter, grab a ticket and they will gut the fish for you and fry it to your liking! I requested crispy so it would be extra deep fried! I also chose tilapia because it's about $6 and change for one whole fish. You can do your groceries and come back and your fish will be fried and ready for pickup! Go home with groceries and a meal ready, now that's the dream. I also love Seafood city for the bakery that's attached and the amazing food court. I especially love grill city. Prices have gone up, but I feel like Seafood City is like an Asian grocery version of Disneyland. You can watch your skewers being freshly grilled through a large clear window and choose your dishes cafeteria style. They have different combos you can choose from! The grocery itself is a bit on the pricier end for sure compared to other grocers, but you are getting a lot of imported Filipino items that you can't get at smaller specialty store. Seafood City is the big boys of Filipino groceries, so if you need specific cuts of meat for Filipino dishes, Filipino snacks, etc, here is where you get it!
