Max Fitness centers were designed with you, the member, in mind. Our goal was to create clubs that are fun and friendly, and are an exciting place for you to achieve your goal of living a healthier, more fit lifestyle. Purchased a 90 day student pass for the summer and I did not get my money's worth. On 4-6 occasions I was unable to open the side door with the membership card that I was supplied. Those occasions do not include the times where someone from the inside opened the door for me. I brought this issue up to the staff and was told that the scanner at the side door had been fixed. A couple weeks after that the door failed to work for me and I brought the issue up again. I requested to be reimbursed or have my membership extended as many days as I wasn't able to access the gym. The employee I talked to threw up her hands and made it my problem. I was told that I should consider coming during staffed hours so that I know I'll be able to get in, which my schedule does not permit. No responsibility was ever taken, despite the fact that they have video footage of me not being able to access the gym that I paid for. I was then told that the manager, Cheyenne, would contact me at my phone number. It has been three weeks and I still haven't been contacted. I spoke to the employee again and she recommended that I come in at a time the manager is working, yet again making this lack of decent management my problem and not theirs. The equipment here is decent. Some items could definitely use maintenance or replacement. There are no dumbbells over 100 lbs and there are only two squat racks and benches for bench press. Dumbbells are never rearranged to the correct order. From what I saw, the maintenance was relatively timely. The bathrooms were usually clean, but frequently out of paper towels. The variety of fitness classes here is decent and there is a physical therapist right next door. This would have been a three star review if I had not been treated so poorly by the management. I'll be finding a gym that will give me my money's worth and have their act together next time.

Front desk employee not friendly. I admit that handling a customer who wants to end a membership is the last thing you want to deal with. This particular employee of Maxx Fitness appeared to take it personally and made the whole interaction awkward, and her frustration even led to giving false information due to her overlooking my account. This is unacceptable. Prior to the visit to end my membership I was open to coming back to the gym when the need for a membership resurfaced, but now that will never happen, and I will not recommend Maxx Fitness to anyone. I hope that this review reaches the right person. Retention of members is important, but treating them like I was, will result in a detractor not a promoter and possible returning customer.

Love Max Fitness - everyone is super nice and helpful. Machines are always available. LOVE the classes especially Zumba! All the instructors greet each new guest and make sure they are welcome!
