I recently visited the Maritime Museum of the Atlantic in Halifax, and it was an excellent experience. The Titanic exhibition was a particular highlight it was both informative and moving, providing fascinating insights into the ship's history and its connection to the region. The museum itself is well-organized, with a variety of exhibits that showcase Nova Scotia's maritime heritage. From shipwrecks to naval history, there's something for everyone. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable, and the museum's location along the waterfront makes it easy to enjoy before or after a walk by the harbor. I highly recommend a visit if you're in Halifax it’s totally worth it!
Good place to know this history and story about shipping. First time to Halifax, explore here to know a lot knowledge and history about Halifax shipping history, especially Titanic history . We bought tickets at the entrance, spent more than 1 hour here. If you like shipping history, please come to visit this museum, you will see a lots ship model samples and stories behind them.
For $10, this is a must visit. My kid loved this and so did I. So many models and things to see and learn. The museum is perfectly located along the shore with other attractions. Hard to miss. They open at 9:30am.
A lovely museum. Worth the trip and very affordable. Plenty of education experiences but I'm pretty certain the titanic exhibit is what draws most visitors. Still lots of other things to see and learn. It surprisingly big on the inside.
I can't believe it's taken me 4 or so visits to Halifax before visiting the Museum. You should absolutely make the time to visit here when in Halifax. It was great to see the incredible craftsmanship of the sailing vessels as well as the miniature ships that have been built. My kids are going through a Titanic phase and so seeing artifacts from the actual ship was particularly great for them. The souvenir shop is actually reasonably priced as well, which made it a little TOO easy to spend money here.
