Marine Gateway Liquor Store

Aside from selling a moderate selection of alcohol and beer, I always laugh at the tip option as most times I rarely get a hello nor do they ever ask for my VIP number...ever. Today I was basing what would have been a tip on if I was greeted on entering the store, given any sort of pleasantry at the till, ask if I was a VIP member, and also say thanks and goodbye. Absolutely none of that happened could've made yourself an extra couple bucks... thanks for selling liquor. But your staff sucks.

Use to be my go to liquor store but has turned into a place with incompetent staff (John being one of them) and new employees every week. I see a few other reviews here saying the same thing. Management needs to step up and actually FIRE these people who give bad service. Who would want to pay for over-priced liquor when BC liquor stores are cheaper and give way better service! EDIT: Also, I think the employees are giving self reviews so don't believe the inflated score.

John who works weekends is completely racist. Likes to power trip. Our group was over 40 and because one person didn't have ID, they could sell to us. During this time they didn't ID anyone else and when we mentioned they weren't ID'ing others we were told to leave. Not worth our time to bother with this liquor store anymore.

Great selection and staff! Super friendly and helpful. Just double check the pieces against BC Liquor, if you're only buying one or two bottles.

Friendly staff, and they stock some of the best mead in the land.
