Over a year ago, on a bright and early Sunday morning, we came across Marie Yvonne Paint on Greene avenue. We were contemplating listing our house as I was pregnant and we needed more rooms. She was going to her office and offered a meeting right there and then, and talked us through the whole process. Withing two weeks we had made up our minds and Cassian Bopp who works with Marie Yvonne listed our house, sold it on the first day at asking with multiple offers to choose from. When came time to find our dream home, we were faced with a ferocious market. Let alone the fact that we were very uncompromising with what we wanted, where we wanted it and at what price. Cassian guided us through this difficult process with the utmost kindness, and was a starking difference with most of the other agents we have met looking for houses. While they were pushy, rude and ineffective, Cassian was patient, no-nonsense and FAST when came time to write up the proposals, negociate, get us informations etc. Marie Yvonne was always available for an extra set of advice and a second opinion. They gave us their 100% all the way through. And last but not least, Cassian found us our dream house. It is actually better than what we had in mind for ourselves. Not only that, but after many disappointments and bidding wars, he managed to show us that house that was not yet on the market, being sold by the only other agents I still like in the area and that we bought peacefully in a matter of hours. The whole process was a breeze. What a relief ! We just moved into what we now call “our magic house”, and we are truly so thankful to them both. If you think you dislike real estate agents but have to sell your house / buy a home, go to Marie Yvonne Paint and ask to work with Cassian Bopp.

Marie-Yvonne Paint just hung up on me! I'd called her since I had a question about a housing project that she used to work on, on Nun's Island. I told her that I remembered her advertising and I wanted to know some basic information about it. She curtly told me to get in touch with the builder and when I said I was having trouble getting in touch with him, she hung up - she didn't even say goodbye and then hang up! Here is the letter I wrote her: Good morning Mrs. Paint, I just wanted to let you know that I am absolutely appalled that you hung up on me. Your lack of professionalism, ethic and respect are very much in discordance with the reviews that you have posted online. What a shame that your "worldly experience" and "varied cultural background" did not educate you on how to communicate kindly, especially woman-to-woman. Today, Marie Yvonne Paint sent an incredibly wasteful 47-page glossy magazine to everyone in my neighbourhood. This is extremely irresponsible advertising to waste this much paper in 2019. Shame on this company for not adopting more environmentally friendly methods to sell their multimillion dollar mansions. You can afford to do better
