I lived in their building in Mackay street for 2 years. The price is reasonable for a downtown apartment, and the studio units are clean, spacious and warm in winter. The downsides are narrow corridors (with 4 unit doors right next to each other), thin walls, and a very small laundry room with a few old washers/dryers which is not enough for a high-rise building. The maintenance and management is good, especially the lady who works in the office (Maria) is very friendly and caring. If you need anything she is there to help and respects all the tenants. Overall, I was satisfied with the building/apartment.

Best stay in Montreal..safe neighborhood, Beautiful place and location, excellent staff...This place is very close to Metro and Concordia University...

I lived in one of their downtown building for about two years when I was a student at Concordia. I agreed with other reviewers that the staff could be friendlier, but I didn't get the rude experience that others complained. I guess that's such a typical landlord/staffs demeanour. Anyhow, I find my apartment was nice, comfy and affordable. If you are looking for a great location and competitive prices for an apartment in downtown area Federal Real Estate definitely worth checking out.

I have not even rented from these guys at all and I can tell immediately what poor company this is. There were four apartments I was interested in, all listen as available on the website. First guy: None available. Offers me the number for another, halfway through giving me the number refuses to continue because I was typing it on my phone and the beep was annoying. Okay, unprofessional, but fine. I got the number elsewhere. Second: None available - rushed and impatient Third: None available - mockingly, as if it is ridiculous that I was asking. Fourth: None available, by which point I offered friendly advice that they should update the website because none of the promised available apartments are actually available. The woman YELLED at me that their website is fine, they don't need MY advice, I'm just mad that I am too late, and I can feel free to never contact them again. Okay, done. I will never contact them again. Particularly after reading these reviews of people who have actually rented from them, I feel like I have dodged a bullet.
