OUR FAVORITE DELI. We come for the fabulous sandwiches. The bread *chefs kiss*, tastes like a mix between a croissant and Portuguese bun. Mayo and mustard. High quality meats and cheeses to choose from. Hits the spot every time. The service is great and they give great recommendations for meat and cheese pairings as well.

They have an amazing array of European foods including Portuguese food which is hard to find in Victoria! Lovely family that owns it.
A wonderful small business with a great selection of European imports as well as deli meats and cheeses. All the staff in this family business are super friendly and helpful. This is the number one place I go for my German Christmas goodies like dominosteine and lebkuchen, but there's also a great variety of items from other European countries. Also baking ingredients for European recipes. There's a small parking lot, and it's a ground level entrance.
You want a real mom and pop shop experience? Thus is the place. Best olive oil in town, at a reasonable price. Fabulous canned fish that I can't find elsewhere. Incredible selection of high end pastas. Their sandwiches are European classics - pick any cheese and any meat in the deli and put it in a gorgeous fresh Portugese bun. Cant beat the 5$ price. Regulars have been going in for decades not just for the selection, but the reasonable prices and the family feeling created by the mom and daughter duo who run the place.
A mother-daughter team, quality products and patience for each individual customer. I bought a few cold-cuts, and unpacked them at home from the paper bag to find each so carefully wrapped despite being busy- it was honestly heartwarming. This is truly what “integrity” means. Thank you, very good quality meat.
I'm an Austrian teacher und was staying some months in Victoria. The store is really well stocked and she is always so friendly. I love good European food and Maria's Deli was my anchor. She's my number one for the next visit. I like shopping at Maria's.
Sandwich made with a Portuguese bun for lunch, a salami and cheese protein snack, cookies for coffee, pasta and cheese for dinner, olives and tapenade for guests... I do it all at Maria's Deli. The food is superb, Susan greets you everyday with a smile, and the prices are so that you CAN do it all there. LOVE this store, the wares, and the local family run culture. Oh an interesting fact, not a rare thing to see customers in there from up island, or the mainland, who make sure to stop in and stock up whenever they are in Victoria.
I have finally found an authentic, truly European deli - mere minutes from my house! With the best service too! Suzanne is so sweet and will do anything for you to ensure you leave happy. Best Parmesan Regiano best prices too and best prosciutto too.
Great selection of pastas and European treats and savoury delicacies. Great place to go if you're thinking charcuterie. The Portuguese buns were delicious
