Olympic Heights School

My daughter attended Olympic Heights School this year in grade 6, and her experience was unfortunately quite poor. She faced significant bullying, primarily because of her height. The children at the school were extremely competitive and often resorted to negative behavior to gain an advantage over one another.nnAfter witnessing the challenges my daughter endured, I decided to transfer her to a private school, and the difference has been astounding. Contrary to my expectations of encountering elitism in the private system, we've found the opposite: kind and supportive classmates and teachers who genuinely care. The classroom sizes are much smaller compared to Olympic Heights, creating a nurturing environment.nnNow, my daughter loves attending school. She enjoys her classmates and teachers and looks forward to each day. This experience has made it clear to me that something has gone seriously wrong at Olympic Heights School. It appears that some teachers, protected by long union contracts, may not be sufficiently motivated to provide the quality education our children deserve.

The best school in South West Calgary. My kids love going to school and they get all the attention and warmth one can expect from the teachers and environment. Individual support is rendered throughout the year to ensure that students learn with interest and confidence to become better, surely and steadily.

This was my favorite school ever. The community build over the 7 years I was there is crazy. Some teachers are like family. I even invited one teacher to my cabin. This place is changing rapidly and it makes me sad. But I love that I was there the years I was. Because when you move to junior high it's a huge change. You can do it but it's hard. You lose tons of friends and make some friends. Its fun, but also very very hard. This school has taught me to power through grade school. And if you went here, I bet it taught you too.nnThank you.

This school is absolutely amazing. The staff are all so caring and kind to all of the students, and during the Covid Lockdown, all the teachers, especially Mr. Long and Ms. Cutting {both moved}, really tried to connect with their students and make it fun. If I could relive any school experience I've ever had, I'd relive OHS 100 times.

For all my years at the school. I have enjoyed my experience in all my years but grade 5. Mr. Innes. He was a good teacher but he always targeted me. He always found my weak spot and got me in trouble.
