We found Maplewood Acres on our trip after looking at their amazing reviews. We called ahead because we knew we were going to be showing up after dark. The owner was wonderful, she assured us she would stay open until we arrived! We showed up, and checked into the office, welcomed by a kind and happy lady who was more than helpful! She even recommended an awesome restaurant that would deliver right to our RV site. One of the first things you see when pulling off the road are sweet, welcoming signs posted along the trail to the campground telling you how happy they are to have you, relax, and that it's 5 o'clock somewhere. It's simply amazing how welcome you feel before even getting there! Once the signs come to an end you reach the office which sits beside the most beautiful, captivating pirate ship you can imagine! It's gigantic! I mean really, it looks seaworthy. It is a playground, but the detail that went into it is simply breathtaking! The outdoor string lights they have decorating the mass is brilliant. The ship looks like it was pulled right out of Neverland, it's magical - a child's dream come true. The rest of the playground is also loads of fun, with more play structures I have ever seen anywhere, let alone in a campground. The community firepit is very large with a circular wooden bench surrounding the pit. There's room for everyone to be comfortable during get-togethers. The rec hall was in use by many when we arrived on a Friday night, but everyone was respectable. The bathrooms are large and bright, with free showers! The laundry room was also comfortable, and clean. We had such a great visit. You can tell the owners take pride in their campground and care about their guests. Maplewood Acres RV Park is the place to be to enjoy a relaxing, yet fun-filled getaway for all ages. I will go out of my way to come back again!

Love this campground. Great family place with lots for the children to do! There are family activities almost every weekend. Just 3 miles north of the 401.

We stayed at Maplewood Acres Park in June 2016 (site 74). It was a lovely few days. Very friendly and clean environment. The showers (free) & facilities were very clean. The pool and splashpark were great. Water was a little cold, but very refreshing. The playground needs a little more revamping. They were currently building a pirate ship while we were there. It looked awesome, cant wait to see it completed. One down side is there are train tracks not too far from the campground. When the trains (Several day & night) come through, you can hear the whistle blowing. That is the only negative thing I have to say. We will definitely be back though! We run the a/c or fan throughout the night to drown out the trains. A visit to this campground is well worth it.
