Maple Leaf Queen's Buffet

This Chinese buffet family style restaurant is found in the Brunswick Shopping Center. There's plenty of parking as it shares 2 big parking lots with the mall.nThe service is fast and friendly but needs a bit more training. My server didn't know which beers are on their drink menu. It took 2 servers to explain which local brews they had on the menu.nThe dining area is fairly clean and easy to get around but the buffet area can get crowded pretty quickly. Also, it was very hot in the dining room during my last visit. I understand they need to keep the food hot but when the kitchen is busy, it gets hot for everyone. They have to keep the dining area a bit cooler.nThe food is what it claims to be. A buffet of various Chinese/Canadian dishes with some extras to be found on the outskirts. It's all heavily seasoned with garlic and MSG and hits the spot when I'm looking for this kind of food.nUnfortunately, it can be a bit expensive. Expect to pay about $35 per person, or more for the buffet, and depending on the type of drink you get. It's definitely a bit over-priced for a buffet. They need to work on their pricing.nI'll be back every now and then, but not too often. It's what you'd expect from a Chinese food buffet.

We ordered take out from this buffet restaurant this evening. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming. The staff very friendly, treated us like regulars even though we were just passing thru. The food was delicious, both quality and quantity. Would highly recommend it, dine in or take out.

very very tasty food. the waitress was very kind. every once and a while she would check on ours politely very kind. food was very scrumptious. got fish thought i got chicken because chicken look like fish and fish looked like chicken. you could label things to help clear up confusion. dessert was exquisite enjoyed very much. i would recommend

Not too shabby at all, we went in around 7pm and the buffet ends at 8pm. The food was hit and miss, some things like the chicken fried rice were a little overdue for a change but when the change did happen, it was decent. i really enjoyed their beef and broccoli and there was a spicy mixed vegetable and shrimp that was quite good as well.nnThe tempura shrimp was perfect, and the chicken fried rice was missing some key elements that other successful restaurants add Peas & Bean Sprouts. I didn't notice any egg rolls in the buffet, but I may have overlooked them with my hunger and full plate.nnOverall I thought the food was okay, from a large population in my area it's easy to have a variety of Chinese food to choose from and with access to the Metropolitan Toronto area and Golden Horshoe within close proximity, there's no shortage of quality.nnAs for the price, I found it a little high for the offering, however, I also understand that being the only Buffet in town, it's easy to charge what you feel you're worth.nnI would return, because I do feel everyone is entitled to a second opinion, of course I would do so closer to the start time for the buffet to give them a fair chance at my overly critical opinion.

I would give 10 star's if it would let me!nDrove out east this last week and spent a day and night in edmuston, being from Ontario we have very few options for buffets and to be completely honest your look at $50 and up!nI thought I knew what Chinese food tastes like, I was completely wrong!nEvery bite of everything I tried at your buffet was fresh and moist and full of amazing flavour!nWas the first time I had sweet and sour pork, chicken balls and egg rolls that weren’t all dried up and burnt tasting!nHats off to the chef and kitchen crew!nI do not speak French but they happily accommodated me!nThe waitress we had was very fast and professional!nThe decor and ambiance is nothing that I’ve seen in any Buffett before from the chandeliers to the nice dark colour scheme!nI don’t know who owns this establishment but you have done an amazing job!nI will be returning the moment I’m back in New Brunswick and will be suggesting you to all my friends and family that travel that way!nThanks for making my trip a little more special!
