L'Écluse - halte gourmande

We loved this restaurant! It was super cozy. Our server was very nice and was always there at the perfect time. The food was delicious and well priced for the quality and presentation. The beer was from local breweries and the IPA and sour we had were both incredible.

Bright and airy dining on the patio or inside with a great view of the water.nnService was attentive and informative.nnFood was a 4.7. Had burger, mussels, halloumi fries and peach burrata salad. The peaches are advertised as grilled but they were not and they were canned peaches versus fresh. Cocktails were good. Mussels and halloumi fries were delicious.nnNice area for walking trails and a walk over the river after dining.

A modern, quaint spot on the river. Nice selection of food and spirits. Particularly the fish and chips was perfectly battered and presented and table across thoroughly enjoyed the mussels. The lemon mousse was a real treat.

We decided to go here the location is really nice your over looking the river.nWe went for cocktails here 2 weeks ago and service was good so decided hey let's go back here on our way back through.nSo our 2nd visit had a different waitress service wasn't the best they seem over whelmed with the work load of the tables it took a while to get drinks then no water had to get the waitresses attention to get water which most of the time you get straight way.nI went with lobster roll and ceasar salad my partner had a burger.nLobster roll a little bland tasted fresh the Caesar salad was well when I looked again in the salad seems either they forgot the dressing or were running out ended up using the two lemon wedges to give the salad more flavour and moisture there's also no salt & pepper on the table and trying to get the waitresses attention wasn't easy at all.nSo disappointing my partner said the burger was ok.nI pass through Edmonton a few times a year but would have to decide wether I would go back here.nTrying to pay wasn't eiasy either having to ask twice yes the terrace was busy but not full and inside wasn't full at all only a few tablesnThe presentation is good but food really needs to taste good as well.

A beautiful spot on the river. Food was exceptionally fine. Service was very friendly. Just 1 km off the Trans-Canada highway.
