Clean, organized and Great Service. Lockers are always clean, Equipment is always available. They are truly generous in every way. Things that i like: 1. The crossfit room, go put your own music, move freely, train, and there is a punching bag. 2. The Sauna room 3. The Apple at the front door, best thing to eat after a good workout. 4. The quality of personal trainers and Nutritionists Enjoy,
Tons of things don't work and they never fix anything, considering how much they charge it's ridiculous. Half of the treadmills, TV, wifi, steam room, etc.Even the $12 monthly cheap gym has better wifi and machines. Couple times I was kicked off the treadmill because they had a group class and they wanted to workout in a roll. The personal trainers were not professional. I've tried 3 of them. One female trainer can barely speak English and pretended to do so. One male trainer often weren't punctuated and texting on his phone during training time and ask me do to push-ups while he's on his phone. When he was late for our appointment he never apologize and we still ended the session on scheduled time, sometimes early. Shocking isn't it?! It's the closest gym near my house but I'm really fed up with it I'd rather drive further more for better experience. Front desk usually hires dumb girls that don't know anything about anything if you have a question or even want to pay. I don't mind paying $1000 a year only if the quality justifies the price.
I was very impressed with this gym! I visited Montreal recently and called this gym to ask if they allowed visitors. The manager of the gym gave me a screaming deal and I worked out here for the remainder of my vacation. The gym itself was EPIC. This is the first gym I have ever been to that actually has enough squat racks and dumbbells for everyone - I never had to wait for any equipment and I use 2-3 stations at a time for super sets. The equipment itself was in great condition and none of it was old. They also had every weight-lifting and Crossfit equipment you could ever need. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this gym!
Used to be great. Since Gold's gym closed in the dix30, attendance has been going up while still maintaining the same level of service delivery. Machines stay broken for weeks, cleanliness of the place is going down, towel service is bad, eucalyptus sauna is always broken and smells really bad and the list goes on.
I was at first very much in love with this gym for its facilities and its amenities and what it had to offer, but I was only greatly disappointed by the customer service. When I went in to sign the contract for my subscription with David Paré he back then omitted to mention the existence of a student membership plan and only presented me with the regular adult membership fee with no mention at all of any other plans available at the gym. Since their fees weren’t even mentioned on their website I didn’t think anything of it and signed up for a 45$ or so charge biweekly. And so I stayed there until January when I decided to end my contract due to the fact that I was only a student and couldn't afford such a rate during my semesters. After signing the cancelling papers twice and sending it out to two different adresses, I was asked to come in to refill the paper in person. I later on got a phone call by Tiffany Goodfellow whom ended up telling me that a student membership was supposed to have been offered to me by David Paré and that if it could make me feel better, that he had gotten fired for making that same mistake on other several encounters along with some more reasons. I was then asked to pay for 10% of the remaining contract which I had to argue my way out to pay 10% of the student fee, shocked that there had been a student membership available all along and that nobody wasn’t even trying to make up for a mistake made by one of their ex-employee. A week later, after giving it a rest, I thought of signing up again as a student member although all of those things happened considering that they had a few things that weren’t available to me anywhere else such as a sled and battling ropes. I therefore called later on wondering if it was possible to sign up for a student membership contract although I had paid a cancellation fee and didn’t ask for a refund nor a credit on that. I asked if it was possible to get a credit note of the money they overcharged me for from october to january and Tiffany, this time, changed her script, saying that it was actually my responsability to ask for a student fee at the time of the contract and it was not on their hands if there had been a charge for the wrong contract. She also kept going on trying to justify her argument by saying that the STM and a bunch of other places offer student fee and it would have only been logical for me to know and ask for a lower rate of charge to start with. I then responded that places like Idolem Yoga actually did not have student fees and that was just one of many exceptions on places that didn’t have a student fee. I also mentioned that any other gym I went to previously always brought up the different plans that were available to their customers Buzzfit for exemple, or the CEPSUM for UDEM and that it was ridiculous for her to project onto her customers that it was actually their fault for having not asked about a student membership fee. In conclusion, although there is two weeks left for me to access that gym I will never step a foot back in there as I do not want to encourage such a business that has no consideration for anything but money. It is a shame this company has no knowledge for proper customer service and owning up to their mistakes. I definitely do not recommend this gym to anyone at all. Every time I accessed the gym I also never saw more than 10 to 15 people maximum in the course of a 3h period time there - no wonder since they have expensive rates, horrible staff and a very money thirsty system. If you are looking for a place to work out that will make you feel comfortable along with a staff that doesn’t treat their customers like anything less than people paying for services, that place definitely isn't it !!! Who knows, maybe it'll close down just like their other Mansfield gym… and for a reason.
Equipments are falling apart; memberships are too expensive for what you get. The staff is either chatting at a table or sleeping in the office literally saw of the seller sleeping on his desk in front of the windows. No music for a good atmosphere. Don’t except a smile or an advices from most of the trainers if you are not his clients. I do get that they have clients but a little chat with someone who’s trying to figure out an exercise in front of them could be enjoyable. The staff that keep the weights in place and etc are great on the other side; unfortunately, they don’t justify the prize. This gym need some makeover and a 24/7 schedule in order to compete with the new world fitness.
It's a nice gym. But, the showers are weird. The doors are not "complete" and they are sort of see through. They don't have changing rooms, you have to either change in front of everyone or in the washrooms. The front desk people almost never say hi and some clients are simply rude. The man who registered me was SUPER nice and sweet. It's a bit expensive but the classes are great and there's a lot of things that make up for it. There are free towels no extra fees, lotion, Qtips and kleenex boxes a bit everywhere in the gym.
They really need to step it up. When you pay for that price everything should be top notch and it's not. Steaming room is not working. The TV on the treadmills are not working. Many times there are no cleaning wipes. You can get a better deal at Nautilus for a quarter of their price. Honestly, Management: step it up!
Except for the occasional douche bag and pomeranian purse carrying ladies the gym is good. For god sakes if Im paying 110$ a month fix the smell in the guys locker room and the gym all around put more money in the service. Or else ill have to switch.
Be careful when you sign the contract! They are totally scammers! They will put you account under "freeze" when you cancel the contract, and charge you account back again afterdays when you pay no attention to your credit card! Stay away!!!! When you call in to complain, they will say "I don't care about you, just go."
