World's largest log castle. I love this place

Its not open in the winter, but it is to preserve the floors and carpets I was told which makes sense. Anyways admiring the outside was fine and it's absolutely beautiful in the snow and a 5 minute walk from the hotel, if even that.

This is a nice historic site to visit with a lovely wooded land to walk in peace and quiet with chapels and nice pathways. The manoir is interesting to visit inside $$.

Bit of a walk in a trail to reach this site - about 1km or so so nothing terrible. Was disappointed that most of the site was actually closed off when we visited. With the guided tour, we were only allowed to visit half a dozen rooms at ground level and an empty library. The chapel and other floors of the manor were closed which really didn't leave much left to see. You can easily be in and out in an hour or so which left us a little bitter. Otherwise our tour guide was great and quite knowledgeable!
