Mama's Rice Bowl

Must try this hidden gem in the work bc building! I love the spicy chicken rice bowl, super yummy and filling. The perfect lunch for any day. Very good pricing as well! They have specials everyday too, the owners are super sweet, they wrote down all the specials for me on the receipt! Excited to try everything else on the menu!!

I felt Mama’s love! I was having some health issues lately and my appétit dwindled… until I stumbled across this little mom and pop shop after my dental. I had the Alex Bowl with smoked salmon, and it was like a little miracle to me! The appetizing colourful display despite the take-out bowl, the wonderful aroma, and the delicious taste - all came together so perfectly - I swear I felt the love, care and the culinary flare of the chefs - I believe they deserve to be called chefs! I surprised myself and finished the whole bowl! It was very therapeutic! Thank you Mama!

The perfect clubhouse sandwich doesn’t exist… until I discovered the Big Clubhouse at Mama’s Rice Bowl! On my quest to find my favourite clubhouse I stumbled upon this lil Ma and Pa place located in an office building. Service was amazing and the people are so friendly. They gave me a free pop with my sandwich. The sandwich itself looks visually satisfying with all the layers and colours and tastes absolutely scrumptious. Only downfall is that it was difficult to bite into as it was so BIG! If I worked in this building it would be hard not to eat here everyday.

Such good value for their price-range. These hard working super friendly people make very tasty food. Make sure you get some. The meat lover’s bowl feeds me twice on a long film work day. Thanks guys!

Ordered a spicy pork cheese rice bowl. Savoury rice bowl with a good portion at a good price! The owners were very friendly and welcoming. I will try other dishes when I go around Gilmore station again.

Absolutely delicious! Authentic Korean food with fresh ingredients. Their bulgogoi bibimbap is better than most restaurants. I'm so glad that other google reviews pointed me towards Mama's Rice Bowl. It's definitely a hidden gem inside an office building on the main floor. Lots and lots of regulars here, which is also a good sign.Food: 5/5

Tucked away in the office building at Lougheed and Gilmore. Seriously just go try it. Amazing prices and flavours from this tiny mom and pop kiosk. My favorites are the spicy pork cheese bowl and the bibimbap.

Really fresh, tasty food. This is the first time I've gone here but I'll definitely come back. Ordered the Korean wrap with beef and it was delicious and very filling. Meat was juicy and flavorful, veggies were fresh and they grilled it up for some crunch. The presentation was very nice as well. For the price, I am definitely satisfied with the portions and taste so it's an easy 5/5. The Korean couple that run this place seem very nice and are polite so that's another positive thing about this joint.

Cute little family run eatery located in the lobby area of an office plaza. When you open the office door, the fragrant aroma of delicious food let’s you know you’ve come to the right building. Just footsteps ahead around the corner under the stairwell, is Mama’s Rice Bowl. We ordered the Bulgogi Cheese rice bowl, Spicy Chicken cheese rice bowl and a Cream of mushroom soup. The rice bowls each had a bed of rice topped with the selected protein, including some grilled Kimchi and a small portion of Japchae. This made for a yummy hearty lunch. The family is very friendly and welcoming, making recommendations for first timers and greeted regulars by name. Most visitors order take out and there are three small tables just in front where you can enjoy your food as well. Definitely a good quick lunch spot if you are in the area during a week day.
