Found this place on Google maps as the place we were going to on a Sunday night was closed. It had a decent rating so we thought we would give it a try. At first we thought the map was wrong, but we eventually found the place. Out of town, by itself. Sunday night now....it's freezing out....the parking lot is packed. We thought it must be good and we weren't disappointed. Four of us all tried something different and everything was good. We first thought there would be a wait, but it is bigger than it looks. The service was great also.

Sat down with six people. Waitress said it was prime time and the kitchen is busy. Ordered food and kids food right away at 6:40 when we sat. After an hour we asked for an eta more than "it should be out soon". Waitress asked the kitchen and we were told prob another 20 minutes.. This is unacceptable for ANY business. If you have too many tables for your kitchen size to be able to serve a full house in a timely manner then either don't seat to full capacity out or spend some money to get a bigger kitchen to handle your business when it's at capacity!!. Waitress did her party and we thanked her for that. Manager showed empathy and comped but I have no interest in returning or recommending at this point which is what really stinks. How do I recommend a place that over seats what they can handle in a timely manner?

Best lasagna in Wisconsin, Caesar salad, antipasto, tiramisu, and specialty coffees, cocktails, and liquor's, to add to your enjoyment. Catering available for any size group, and a large, private room, with bar, for rent, for parties, and weddings. Great service, ample parking!!!

First I would highly recommend a reservation for this place. We got a reservation for 7 pm for my Mom's birthday meal. We walked in at 6:45 pm and was seated at 7 pm, the table had white paper table cover down with the a hand drawn box present and the words Happy Birthday (Nice touch). Our servers name was Ryan and right away you could tell he cared and sparked up a conversation with us and got to know us a little. He recommend one appetizer after we ordered one (good salesman) and took our child's order right way to get that out sooner. Drinks came first at 7:05 pm and my child's meal at 7:15 pm which at that point Ryan took our meal order. At 7:20 pm the appetizers got to us and his recommendation was spot on. Around 7:35 pm our soup and salad came out both were excellent! Ryan checked in on us twice before our main course came out at 8:05 pm. The entree was well worth the wait.
The reason why this has one less star and also why it's not a three star review. When my wife got her meal she thought she had gotten a shrimp tail in her meal and turned out to be a very small piece of plastic. We called Ryan over and he looked very concerned and mad that this happened to us. The look on his face was of utter disappointment and you could tell he wanted to make this right. He was speechless with concern.
Moments after he left the manager came to our table and offered us three choices to try to make things right: First, give us my wife's meal for free. Second, they offered a new one be made right away. And third they offered a second dish to bring home for lunch tomorrow. The staff handled the incident the best way possible and the manager handled it with class and respect. Not only for our feelings on the meal but also our health and safety. My wife declined the lunch meal as well as a second one being made for her and she continued to eat her meal. After 3 or so more bites of her meal she found a much lager piece of plastic. Ryan brought the dish to the kitchen and the manager returned to our table. Before the second piece of plastic we denied the options given to us by the manager. Telling them that accidents happen. Ryan as well as the manager at this point felt tons of shame and without us asking gave us a new meal to take home and took my wife's portion off the bill completely.
If you got this far in the review, the wait staff do not make these mistakes the kitchen does and if the wait staff handle it the way Ryan handled our mistake, then I have feeling this rarely happens at this restaurant. My wife and I will go back to this place and try something else since everything (other than my wife's meal) was well worth the 45 minute wait for food!

Easy to get to coming from Wisconsin or Minneapolis straight down through downtown Hudson on the north end of town it was perfect. nice ambience. server was good. timing on service good. food was excellent! We ordered two appetizers and two entrees. Portions were perfect. Just enough so you had a little bit to take home and enjoy for later. pricing was fair. love the fact that the bathroom was super clean. I always look for that. they have patio seating wasn't being used I guess they worry about mosquitoes but found it really nice. all in all I would consider taking my family and Associates when we're in that area doing business or family events would choose to dine @ Mama Marias restaurant.
