Mama Khan

A must try! Amazing authentic food; a lot of great options. We took the Vege and Meat Thalis with the “really spicy” option, which were so delicious, rich in flavours and spicy all at the same time. Good portions, very filling. Warm and accommodating service. Will definitely come back!

Chana samosa is very delicious It is only mentioned in the pickup grab n go menu. We tried their butter chicken. They say the dishes are for 2, but the portion was a bit small to us. So if you're really hungry & usually enjoy a big meal to yourself, i would suggest to take all the portion & order another dish too Food: 4/5

You can taste the care that was put into these dishes. That’s how good it was! The karahi was a highlight dish. The chicken was tender and moist, but still packed a ton of flavour. The sauce looks spicier than it actually is! The kebab, however, was spicier than it looked, but it by no means took away from my enjoyment of the meal. The paratha was a tad oily for my preference, but the naan was cooked just right.

What can I say? We first found Mama Khan in a fluke google search going from Ottawa to the Montreal Airport. It was a curfew night in Quebec so we couldn't dine-in so we took out the chapli kebabs and kadhai. We ate the food in our car on the roadside and fell in love. After it reopened recently, we decided to go back to Montreal from Ottawa just for Mama Khan. I don't think I have had chapli kebabs this good before in Canada. Even the kadhai is just phenomenal. It's amazing how Mama Khan uses minimal ingredients to deliver a taste so rich. The food tasted so good we found ourselves unable to stop eating and ended up ordering food for our families in Ottawa knowing well we will have another go at it at home as well lol In terms of the service, I believe the children of the chef handle the front end, and they provide great hospitable service in making one feel welcome. Thank you to Mama Khan and her team for delivering a taste of the great Pakistani Peshawari food and hospitality here in Canada. We will be back soon :

First time having Pakistani food & let me tell ya it wont be the last. Absolutely delicious food, LOADED with flavour and spice, and cooked to perfection. A very cozy space right on the busy St Denis, the place has such a warm and friendly atmosphere thanks especially to the wonderful staff. Definitely worth a visit. Try the chapli kebab - absolutely slaps.

We ordered takeout from Mama Khan & on the menu was their Peshawari Chicken Karhai, Chicken Seekh Kebabs, Butter Naans, Paratha & Ladoo. It was delivered quickly & was packed carefully. So a big for that. The food was very good and tasted great! But the Karhai was a miss, which is why I'm giving them 4 stars, for us as it wasn't close to the Pakistani version that we are used to. BUT it was good nonetheless. Lastly their kebabs, naans, paratha & ladoo were brilliant! Highly recommended... Their prices are reasonable & serving size is good. Thank you Mama Khan for allowing us to enjoy our dinner last night we will definitely be sampling more of your food in the coming days...

Being born in Peshawar, I was looking forward to a taste of home and this place does not disappoint. Man - did it bring back flavours I have not tasted in years. The Peshawari lamb karahi may be the best dish I have eaten from a desi restaurant. Chapli kebabs taste like the kind you would get on the street in Peshawar, Pakistan. Gobi mattar was amazing too. Service is impeccable and owners are so nice. Brought my non-desi friend here, and she complimented every dish multiple times. 12/10. I am from the West Island but if they were closer I would go on a weekly basis.

A HIDDEN GEM! If you haven't visited, you're missing out! Highly recommend the chapli kebab. It's literally as if you're having chapli kebabs from peshawar in Pakistan . We went during Ramadan to have Iftar. The service was great and the atmosphere as well. The portion of the food was big, I like the seekh kebab. But not chapali kebab it was a bit strange and contained a lot of different spices. The Naan was great as well. The Lassi was top notch.

We are from Peshawar and we're always on the lookout for authentic peshawari flavors. Mama khan hit the spot for us. The chapli kebabs are as good as the ones you get back home. The lamb karhai was flavorful and succulent. The naans, the biryani, it was so so good. I cannot fault a single thing. The service was excellent as well. I wish we lived closer, we made a trip from Ottawa after a friend recommended Mama khan to us. We can't wait to eat here again. Highly recommend! You won't be disappointed.
