Maison Istanbul

Authentic & delicious Turkish cuisine. We had the lahmacun - thin light perfectly baked crust with seasoned meat. Beef & chicken doner plate is shaved meat generous amount, not fatty & perfectly seasoned & cooked. The plate is generous with 2 types of rice, fries & salad. The ricenai light & fluffy & perfectly cooked. The plate could feed 2 people. We had lots left to take home. Baklava was heavenly not syrupy with generous amount of pistachios. One of the best we’ve had. We will be back to try more dishes. The service was quick, friendly. Space is clean, tables nicely laid out. Lighting a bit too much. In need of Turkish music to set the ambiance & feel like one is in Istanbul. Too bad they don’t serve liquor.

I am little bit disappointed about the quality of food. I give 3 star out of 5. Salad was awful, kebabs were not that great. Also they did not have lamp. I mostly liked chicken kebab. I do not think, I will give them second chance to go there again.

I finally got the chance to try Maison Istanbul restaurant in Windsor and here is my review for this restaurant. The table was sticky and the air condition was not working properly. The temperature inside must have been 80 degrees. We were a group of 4 and the waitress brought 3 room temperature water glasses. My 8 years old daughter said the water tasted funny. It took the waiterss another reminder to bring the fourth glass. This one had ice though. We ordered 2 Lamachun, a mixed grill with 4 skewers, Adana Kepap plate with 2 skewers and 2 kunafa for later. The Lamachun were amazing and I would give it 9 out of 10. I ordered another Lamachun and cheese and sujuk pide after we tasted the Lamachun. Thin dough that is cooked to perfection with yummy meat mix. The mixed grill presentation was great and the meat was cooked to perfection but it tasted OK. I was not very impressed with the meat seasoning. It tasted bland and no flavours were screaming out at me. The cheese pide was amazing and it tasted really good. They forgot to make the Adana kepap plate which we ended up cancelling. The salad, and bulgur were tasty and delicious. The rice was not that great. The kunafa was bland, and it did not taste like kunafa. Overall. They need to improve on cleaning and customer service. I would likely go back to order Lamachun for take-out, but I would not dine in there again.

This place was great! The people had nice and awesome service and the food was scrumptious and tasted excellent. All the food was great and the inside looked beautiful. We went from Waterloo as a family and the disappointing point was we couldn't sit inside and eat because of covid-19 but next time I hope we could sit inside.

Definitely exceeded my expectations considering the rating. Very good quality food for decent prices.

Food was good, but the service was slow. I understand that it takes time to make the food, but we waited over one hour and it turned out that the waitresses had forgotten about us. We had to go to the front desk a few times to remind them that we are waiting. It sucks when you spend almost $200 and get this service.

Excellent place for Turkish food. Love them a lot.

Came to enjoy a nice iftar/dinner with my family but ended up ruining our night. We ordered a kebab platter and the food came cold barley any warm, and we even booked an hour early and paid so when we come in, we break our fast and eat with the kids. But the $150 ended up going for nothing but drinking water and a waste of time.
