We are a single veterinarian small animal practice with locations in Fredericton, Oromocto, and Minto. We cater to small companion animals, including dogs, cats, birds, and other exotic animals.

We offer full surgical, medical and dental services as well as alternative medicine including acupuncture, homeopathy, and allergy treatment. We have digital radiology, ultrasound, in-house diagnostic laboratory and therapeutic laser. We also offer behavioral and nutritional consultation.

Some other services available include pet food and supplies, grooming, cat boarding, clipper blade sharpening, house calls, and 24 hour emergency services.

Dr. Smith has been my animals vet for over 15 years now. I've always had great experiences here. A few years ago my dog Sheba ended up with heart disease and it was too far gone. We tried medicine and unfortunately the right valve had pretty much collapsed, nothing more we could do. Time came and we had to do the humane thing. Dr. Smith cried right along with me as I said my goodbyes. I will never forget that. I knew at that moment he will be our family vet forever. Thank you for the kindness and your professionalism. And thank you for all of your help with my current furbabies!

I certainly wouldn't suggest getting a bunny fixed here- they don't do females & I found them pretty dismissive about questions or what I could do to give him comfort, I brought food for him because it was an all day procedure and they gave me the SAME amount of food back so my bunny went through this without eating a thing! I brought a water bowl and it came back bone dry, so he got put under anesthesia with nothing in his stomach which you CAN NOT do with bunnies, HOURS later and my bunny is still messed up on medication, and there is blood on his blanky which I was told shouldn't be there- I called to ask questions after the procedure as well because I'm literally freaking out- and they were very unhelpful. They don't know enough about bunnies to do it, so don't go. Made my mistake.(Experts with dogs and cats and has even helped my guinea pig that's why I thought well my rabbit would be fine here but it's not the case- Everything but Rabbits seems to be more than fine/healthy going here.) Fredericton Vet hospital really pampers bunnies :)

We have had Shawn as a vet for nearly twenty years and in that time we have had zero issues. We have always found him to be professional and caring for our dogs, very thorough and willing to take the time to explain what he was doing and answering any questions we have. when we had to have our Doberman put down because of cancer, he and his staff were very compassionate and caring. Recently we had to have him come in to the clinic on a Sunday to look at our Greyhound who had injured his legs. Again, Shawn was so helpful and took excellent care of our boy. I always recommend Shawn, and will continue to do so. As a sidenote, my niece has a German Shorthair Pointer, from Shawn's kennel, and he is a great and beautiful dog.

Great vet and awesome staff! Always answering all my questions and listening to my concerns. Always willing to look at my birds when they are sick when other places won't even try.

Absolutely LOVE Shawn and his staff! We started going there when my Boxer had a seizure on a Sunday 10 or 11 years ago and we’ve never gone anywhere else since! He takes lovely care of all of my animals! I have a Bluenose Pitbull and I’m nervous to take her places due to criticism but this place absolutely adores her and treats her with nothing but kindness! My parents Choclate Lab has had 2 knee replacements and Shawn helped up through the tough times! When my dog or cats need immediate care they are always there to help! I even drove 3 hours once just to get Shawn to look after my puppy. He is an amazing, caring vet and definitely knows his stuff. Highly recommend him!!
