Good reliable breakfast. Service is very good. The decor is a bit beat up though, since it is a popular pub at night. If you're fine with some roughed up walls, then it's a good place for brunch.
Came here on a Saturday afternoon for brunch on the patio. They were very shortstaffed. There was only 1 server who was looking after the patio. We asked for water but never got it. We ordered the bottomless coffee but it was impossible to flag someone down to ask for refills. As for food, I ordered the veggie delight omelette which came with potatoes, fruits and toast. They never offered us any butter or jam for the toast and we had to ask for it. Food took almost 45mins to come. The food is very average and not worth the price. One thing worth noting is that they have complimentary wifi.
Wanting to enjoy and evening out and support local we went here. My GF being from Hungary ordered the chicken schnitzel which arrived at table in a pool of water from vegetables, it was a whole chicken breast breaded not schnitzel and because of all the water it was soggy. We asked for gravy on side and it came as brown/beef gravy with onions which again odd. I ordered Texas burger it seemed to have been precooked and reheated and was very salty on top of the salty bacon. Overall not good food Also umbrellas all had booklets hanging from them for install flapping around and the string lights had a broken bulb and exposed wires very dangerous. All I sign they don’t have attention to detail. Server was nice.
Very nice Saturday brunch. Reasonably priced, nice portions, tasty food and quick service. Had the French Connection and Eggs Benedict Florentine, both very nice and satisfying.
A nice little cosy place on Main Street Markham. The interiors gives you the old house feel or a 'Ye Olde Pub' feel. They got screens with movies running. I feel the prices have gone up a bit from the summers. The portions are still great. We have only tried out he breakfast and brunch options. The staff is friendly and take good care of you. While we've never have had to wait, to be seated, the place is busy mostly and always has a crowd. The patio is dog friendly and the staff is kind to get your pooch a bowl of water as well. However, the weather right now ain't the best for patio dining. There's parking available either behind or across the street behind existing buildings.
Absolutely outstanding breakfast. Service was fairly good. Large portions, high-quality, tasted good, you will have leftovers takeout for sure. Good assortment of traditional and health-conscious choices. Free parking. Washrooms definitely need attention and renovation. Recommended.
Best brunch in Markham. The steak is surprisingly large and tastes as good as at any reputable steak house. Portion very big. Every plate is loaded with fresh fruit. We chose indoor table which turned out to be a smart choice. People eating at patio later had to move indoors because of the windy condition and dirt in the air. September is the season that you have to fight the flies constantly. Other than that, the only complaint is the food so good and portion so big - we were all so full, and still had left over to bring home.
Didn’t have to wait to get a table. We got the calamari to start which was great and me and my friends got burgers to be honest it was okay. Very filling and couldn’t really get through it. Loved the fries!
My new go-to spot for breakfast. The staff are super friendly, there’s never a wait to get seated, the food is delicious AND they give you a ton of fruits. I must mention that the coffee is also really good. The atmosphere and music was also very enjoyable. Initially I went to Sunset Grill and after seeing a huge line I left. So happy I stopped by for breakfast. Will be coming back for sure!
Nice little sidewalk cafe option, middle of the road prices. The club sandwich I had was a tad disappointing. Chicken breast instead of turkey, and for me ham should never be on a club. I should add that the fries had a fishy taste. Service was good, however as she was alone and rather busy the side request took too long imo. I'd go back, but not for that sandwich.
