Great store. Fabulous and knowledgeable staff. Always willing to help with finding things in the aisles and suggestions for fixing things at home. A hardware store with service and stock of this caliber is rare. Throughout COVID they managed to safely continue their important contribution to the East Vancouver community. Before I think of driving to a big box - I think local. Magnet on The Drive. Dog Friendly, too! Excellent treats! ‍ Highly recommend!
This review has been a long time coming. The store has a personable environment and friendly, helpful staff. Even though it is usually super busy because it's awesome, they operate efficiently so you won't wait long and they'll be able to assist you with kindness and competency when your turn comes. This is a tiny hardware store compared to other box stores, and yet this store consistently impresses with its selection. They have the best selection of lamp wiring parts I have seen in any store in my over a decade of experience with building and rewiring lamps. If there's a random product you're searching for, running through an inventory of every giant box store you could imagine it would be at, you will probably search those other websites and not find it. So forget that. Just go to this specific Home Hardware location and they'll probably have that precise and useful thing you dreamed up. If you find yourself saying, "Wouldn't it be great if this product existed?" Check this store. It might very well be there. I found the exact item I was looking for that no one else had today and it really saved me in a pinch. I love this place. I already love hardware stores but this one specifically is my happy place.
Probably come here once a month for materials, tools or housewares. They're incredibly well-stocked for a smallish hardware store. And excellent staff who seem to be able to answer every question.
Great little store with very friendly and helpful staff. It's so packed in there! I have a feeling they are running out of room and wouldn't be surprised to hear that they will be moving to a larger location some time soon.
Friendly and helpful staff, but seemed short staffed when I visited. The store also felt very cluttered and tight with narrow aisles. Parking was rather tricky to find, too.
Best hardware store in town. Friendly and helpful service, have an insanely large selection of everything you could possibly think of and it's family owned!
Oldie time of store with very warm services though merchandise are not put on shelf in a more professional display. Staff are very helpful and ready to serve.

As a former worker for a short time at Magnet from 2014 and someone with family members who are unvaccinated and/or not taking this pandemic seriously, I'm glad to know this place does. I don't feel I was good at the job, but hearing about this place over the years makes me glad I worked here as short as it was.
Purchase a garden tool from this store a year ago and since I had some issue after talking to one of the staff they order brand new replacement for me. I known this store for long times all staffs really happy to be helpful to the customer, thank you so much.
