Stopped in for the location in the water. Sat on the covered patio on a rainy Monday for lunch. Got seated & drinks right away, food took a little longer but considering how busy it was, I’d say timing was decent. Food quality was good and didn’t disappoint. Service was great, overall no complaints at all.
We went here on a Sunday evening and were happy to see all the cars in the lot. Unfortunately it must have been because they were one of the few restaurants open. Smoked whitefish dip out. Deep fried dill pickles for an appetizer were average. Deep fried white fish were overcooked with the smallest baked potato ever. Lobster was still frozen in the Mac and cheese. Mackinaw breeze drinks were warm. “Caribbean slow” service. The best things were the garlic bread and the view from the patio. I was able to finish most of the fish. We tried warming up the lobster Mac later in the microwave. That was unsuccessful and in the trash it went. I definitely would find another place for dinner or even drinks.
Came here for my birthday with my husband because it smelled so good when we walked by and they did not disappoint! Everything was delicious and the service was wonderful! We ate on the patio and it was just beautiful! They even surprised me with a delicious piece of birthday cake for me! Great experience, can't wait to try it again!
Got the Lake Perch meal and it was amazing! Wasn't expecting that much perch for the price either. Wife got a Mac & Cheese burger, which she said was great. Prices in general were very good compared to Mackinaw City. Service was great too. Kid-friendliness: Had a kids meal and your kid got crayons and something to color. Parking: Plenty of parking Wheelchair accessibility: There is a ramp.
Great location in the town. As you wait you can play on the back lawn corn-hole or sit at tables. It was fun sitting on the patio watching the boats come in and out for the kids during dinner. Fried lake perch was right on spot. An after dinner treat of ice cream from the double decker bus was a great price and tasty.
The meatloaf/potato/ cheese dish was delicious and very filling. So was the the cup of mild chili with beans and a side of crackers. The pink lemonade was tasty and thirst quench ing. Our hostess and server were cordial and professional. The entire crew that we came in contact with were very helpful and cheerful. Also, we sat with a view of Lake Huron. We also sat near a cozy gas fire place. Temperatures were in the 50s. And there were scattered showers. We chose to eat indoors. There was an option to eat outdoor.
Service was great. Bartender was very nice and knew how to make a good Manhattan. Our meals were VERY good! Enjoyed it all very much. Especially the nice boardwalk walk out to the lighthouse after dinner. Pretty night and sunset all around good evening! Highly recommend!
The fisherman's platter was amazing. I have never had class served in fried strips. Much better than traditional way of serving. Steak fries, Slaw, and baked beans were all good. My wife had the ground beef Paiste which I found to be bland until paired with the brown gravy which was very good
Very nice place with a real UP vibe. The appetizers were very tasty including the whitefish dip and shrimp, the servings were very big. For the main course I chose the whitefish with vegetables, which was very good but a little overcooked. They must prep late in the afternoon and hold them in a warming rack. I would suggest going there early in the evening to try to beat the crowd.
The service was horrible from the minute we went in the hostess/server told us the place had no outside seating so we said it was ok not a problem to sit inside she proceeded to take us OUTSIDE where there was only a few tables. Our server came 5 min later took our drink orders then came back with them. Another family came in and sat down and at that time we were already getting our appetizers which were delicious can't complain. We ordered our food when they did come and we had to wait another 15 min for refills and for her to come take the 2 platters off our tables. However they did not give us silverware so I had to go get all of them from inside plus napkins ect I might as well worked there The family that had sat down received the food before ours came out and when we did receive all of the plates the whitefish sandwich was soggy bread was hard, the hamburger was burned and bread was hard my fisherman's platter was soggy and it was disgusting the chicken Caesar salad had only a few pieces of chicken on it I was like no way in hell am I paying for this. The food was left too long under that heat lamp in the kitchen and for her to only have 3 tables that was unacceptable. I told the server and all she said was what do you want me to do to fix it can we make it again or just take it off your bill?? Lol umm yeah I can't say that I had a good experience and I'm glad others have, just make sure when you do order the food dont settle for mediocre service/ food and pay for it. If your paying get and eat what you want!!!! Kid-friendliness: They had an awesome area in back for the kids to play, plus a water park I loved it!! Parking: Great spots
