Food is a tad spicier, saltier and saltier than before but reasonably good. Some dishes changed not necessarily for the better like the sweet and spicy cauliflower with Chinese sausage taste mainly due to what looks like Thai Sweet Chili sauce. I liked soya sauce fried more. Deep fried stuff were a little on the dark side like using same frying oil for too long. The Chinese donut in rice roll was good as was the streamed truffle mushroom dumpling. Eggplant was as before which was good. Pricing averaged around $11 per dish. Not sure if they still provided parking behind the restaurant still or not as all spots fill when we arrived. Free residential street parking still available. Service was ok, not really good nor really bad. I would still give this place another try to see how things turn out.
Went in with an open mind since change of ownership. Dimsum: Currently doing 10% and no head charge for tea. Taste was acceptable, not salty, not spicy. Ordered eggplant shrimp tofu, Chinese donut could be more crispy, and halibut - quite good. Will go back. Dinner review: Had the lamb hotpot combo with fried sticky rice. The lamb pot needs ingredients i.e., more lamb, mushrooms, beancurb, watercrest. But price of $49.xx was reasonable for the combo; had the crab with ginger & onion - good and tasty ; salt & pepper squid was good as well. Service very good!
We had two dishes, and they were acceptable. My dad found the food on the saltier side but I didn't think it was too salty. Prices and service was average, and they gave us free dessert which was nice because we only ordered two things for two people. I would be open to going back to try other dishes or their dimsum - I like that they offer simple fare congee, noodle soup, dim sum alongside more typical Chinese restaurants dinner style set meals and dishes.
I was going to give a 2-star rating but given that it's a new restaurant and the owner seems to be paying attention for improvement via reviews, I'll bump it up to 3 for now. We ordered take-out via Fantuan, and the food and prices were reasonable in general*. The rice noodle dishes were both good, *HOWEVER 2 of the 3 dim sum dishes tasted obviously not freshly made. It was either made much earlier in the day and not kept at the right temperature, or from the day before and just reheated - to be specific, they were the tripe and spareribs. I can understand if dishes aren't made to order. But these 2 were borderline going bad, unless the chef was going for a badly fermented sour taste... If we were dining at the restaurant, we would have definitely sent these back and ask the staff to taste it for themselves to verify. I hope the new management sees this and takes corrective action.
The food is very decent and the portions are very generous. This place is currently on my list for really good value for the money. Vegetarian options: Because the portions are really generous 3 out of our 9 dishes were veggies. We all brought home at least half of all the veggie dishes.
Everything was amazing. The service was very good the food was amazing and good and all the employees were very kind. Would definitely recommend if you want to go a restaurant Wheelchair accessibility:
Visiting from out of town and have eaten here at least five times. Selection and quality of food is great, and the service always friendly and efficient.Food: 5/5
I must say, it was a truly remarkable. The place is fancy. The staff was attentive and knowledgeable, providing helpful recommendations. The food itself was outstanding. Each dish was masterfully prepared with the finest ingredients, resulting in a burst of flavors that delighted my taste buds. The wok fried clam with black bean sauce is the best I have ever tasted in vancouver.Highly recommed .Definitly will come back again.
This seems to tick the right boxes for a family restaurant. The service was exceptionally friendly and the food wasn't too heavy--- children and elderly approved. I didn't need to drink a L of water right after lunch. The black truffle and mushroom dumplings were a hit. Kid-friendliness: The food was less heavy on salt and oils than most other dim sum places.
We want to go for dinner today, Aug 13 around 7.00pm, the front door has 2 big chains locked up. I guess they close down the business after less than 2 months.Food: 1/5
