Amazing happy and professional staff! You are not feeling someone is pushing you to order anything! Will receive their honest advice on any items on the menu. Very cozy and warm place! You can break plates and do their traditional gesture in a very happy place! 5 dish-20$ Great music! You can dance as much as you like Foods quality was great. Not too oily like other greek restaurants. Good portion and delicious. Try it and enjoy
Beautiful interior. Worth the price for the the ambience and decor alone. Make sure you make reservations beforehand because it gets busy! Wonderful service. Shout out to Manny who was helpful and attentive to our table. As for the food, the portions are small for the price. The lamb chops were great, really tender and juicy. Greek salad was fresh. But we didn’t like the kalamari much. Cocktail names are so creative, we got a good laugh out of it.
What a fun atmosphere. Great food. Good service. I got to smash a plate for the first time. That was fun. It was 95% women in there when I went last Friday nightmen you might want to take note. I will definitely come back.
I wish I got better pictures with all the food but this to say, everything was so good that the group I was with couldn’t hold back. We did the tasting menu with the group I was with. It was great value, lots of food and we got to try a bit of everything. The music and ambiance was amazing for a Wednesday evening, it didn’t feel like we were in Vancouver. We ended the night by smashing the infamous plates which was a great time they charged $70 for 10 plates All in all, it was a great time, lots of food and will definitely come back with a group again.
I was pretty impressed with the food here, though yes, as other reviews say, it's on the pricey side. Go for a nice date night? We got several lamp chops which were pricy $9 each for the small size but they were tasty and came with bread and tzatziki. Also got potatoes, calamari, broccolini, and ekmek. All of these were great, and so were the service, music someone decided to play Kruangbin all night and I wasn't mad about that and ambience. Overall, I would say they elevated Greek food. Note: if you go, check out the restroom interiors!
This place is awesome!! After my experience here I thought for sure this is a hidden gem on Commercial. After reading the reviews, I am shocked to see anything bad! Someone previously commented here the Greek salad was bland… as a Greek person, who has travelled to Greece many times… I can confidently tell you that is what an authentic Greek salad is like. No lettuce, no crumbled feta, only vegetables, olives and a block of feta cheese. As for the rest of our meal; the deconstructed chicken gyro was excellent, very tasty, and perfect to split between 2 people. We did not have a reservation for Saturday evening but were lucky enough to score a table without waiting even though the restaurant was busy. Our food came fast, our server was pleasant, and most importantly: we left full and satisfied. I would recommend this place to anyone interested in authentic Greek cuisine.
Awesome experience! Food was fantastic, very authentic, service was great. They accommodated a large party of 18 for my birthday and everyone felt well looked after. It was a set menu including vegetarian and non vegetarian choices definitely try the hot/spicy feta dip, just wow, and the calamari and octopus too! and very fairly priced. We smashed some plates at the end and everyone had an amazing time. Zero complaints. 10/10 recommend. Thank you Nico and everyone in house. It was a great birthday celebration.
I’m so sad because I wish I liked this place more. The hype was crazy around having dinner, staying late and partying at Loula’s. But now I’ve experienced it, I wouldn’t go again. The service was horrible… our server kept forgetting our drinks and gave away two of our orders to a different table twice, which left us waiting for 1hr for the food to come. All the dishes were tiny, bland and can hardly feed one person AKA overpriced. Two stars for the fun party, dancing on chairs and breaking plates which were $5 each! But definitely was disappointed by the food and especially the service :
My favourite Greek place in Vancouver. Great vibes and lovely decoration. We go 1-2 times/month and the food never disappointed us. Everything on the menu is an explosion f flavours!
Came to Loula's on a Thursday night for dinner and glad that we had a reservation. Restaurant's atmosphere is laid back and the Greek theme/decor adds to the already nice ambience. Server offered varying menu recommendations as majority of the items are family share, "tapas" style offerings. Mediterranean dips are a must. As recommended by the server, we got the Tarama dip which is fish roe based and has a saltyness that is enjoyed by all seafood lovers. The squid is good too.
