Scheduled programming and dawn-to-dusk park exploration nestled by a beautiful kettle lake and amazing sledding hill.
This park is located at 846 Lost Lake Trail, south of Predmore Road, between Kline and Rochester Roads. Parking is available in the 40+ space lot and asphalt paths are available to walk on. Please park in the designated areas and do not drive on the asphalt paths. The new Nature Center is in the lower level of the residence structure and is open for scheduled programs. A caretaker resides in the house's upper level which is not open to the public.
52 acres purchased in 2004, and 5.88 acres added in 2008; Lost Lake Nature Park was the third park to be acquired using Land Preservation millage funds. Picnic near the 8-acre lake where dock-fishing is allowed (with a current fishing license) and enjoy the scenery. Wood ducks, herons, turkey and deer are just a small sampling of the wildlife you may see at this park. Trail hiking is limited, but if you’re up for a challenge, walk up the sledding hill to one of Oakland Township’s highest points ~ great dragonfly watching in the warmer months!
