Los Paisanos Hispanic Restaurant

This place is a hidden gem. Discovered it when I interned in Sioux Falls in 2014. I recently moved back and had it again and it was as good as I remember. The tacos are excellent. The chips and salsa are exceptional. I love introducing new friends to this spot. Will return again and again.

This is one of our go-to spots. The food is always great! The service is a little slower than other places, because it’s usually only two people working to serve everyone. If you can’t stand to spend an hour out to dinner with family or friends, you’ve got bigger problems anyway. If you’re in a pinch, order ahead for pickup. :)

Food is good and hot, authentic atmosphere, even parts of the menu are in Spanish. Waitress is always friendly and very helpful with little ones. Best foods to try are pupusas, burritos, authentic tacos, and many more. Try the horchata or agua de pina for a refreshing drink. For deserts they have fried ice cream, fried plantains, etc. We have been going here for years when we are in town.

People come here expecting to be served like at a tex mex chain... don't do that. This is authentic hispanic food. You will get one (1) free bowl of chips and salsa when seated, AFAIK no free refills. Servers are polite and helpful, and sometimes humorous. The food is GREAT. I always get the tacos and I recommend the lengua and pastor. The burritos are bigger than your head!
