A nice boba tea cafe! I love how nicely the milk tea topped with the Vietnamese coffee the classic Fifty50. The tea was so fragrant and freshly brew. It's a lovely combination and quite strong. The service was quick and the vibe was just perfect! Recommended! FYI, no public restroom. Plan well if you want to try many drinks!
The tea is good but overpriced in my opinion. The whole vibe of the place was “why are you here?” The person behind the counter couldn’t be bothered to acknowledge our presence for 5 minutes while she walked back and forth carrying boxes. Maybe she was distracted by the music with the constant cursing like I was. Hard to say since they never looked up even when they took our order. There are plenty of other Boba places around. Skip this one.
Probably the best strawberry matcha latte I’ve had so far. They even use a bamboo whisk! The honey boba is so good. The strawberry also blends with the drink well and tastes great. Not much to say other than I love it. My order: Regular, 75% sugar, add honey boba. You can actually see the staff whisk the matcha. Plus, the inside is really cute and the staff is super nice : definitely give it a try!
I have been hunting down a solid bubble tea option in CT for a hot minute now so when I heard of LL opening I was very excited.... Finally got a chance to try it out first hand n was not disappointed at all. As advertised premium high end fresh pressed/milk teas & coffee w/a unique variety of combinations and add ons. The store is compact but modern and the main attraction the teas are ridiculous. Ordered the iced golden matcha and it reminded me of a chai tea. Was perfect at half sweet and I added honey boba which weren't grainy or tooo soft n had a nice honey flavor and solid chew. The layered look makes for eye poppin social media photos and the whole wait took less than 10mins expect some delays when busy as each drink n tea is made to order fresh. I felt recharged after this n set the rest of my day off perfectly. Very pleased to have found this gem n will be back a bunch!!
I got a seasonal bubble tea: Summer Melon and it was delicious! Full of flavours with a constant undernote of matcha and very refreshing!! I liked that they ask for the desired level of sweetness!
My friend got me a Thai iced tea with lychee a couple of weeks ago and I’ve been thinking about it ever since. When I was in New Haven, I had to go. I ordered and the drink was done almost before I sat down. If only there was one closer to me I would be there all the time.
I felt like Loose Leaf is just another one of those places trying to get in on the boba tea trend. Their menu options were mostly regular tea and coffee with not much boba options. Loose Leaf just didn't feel authentic and was more focused on looking modern and trendy. On top of that, the boba tea that I had just wasn't good at all and there was way too much flavor going into it. On top of that, customer service could not have been worse, they were very rude and disrespectful. If you want a good authentic boba tea place in New Haven, I strongly recommend Vivi Bubble Tea
What a great addition to New Haven! This is by far the best place I’ve ever tried for milk tea. All of the flavors were so fresh, and you can tell there’s nothing artificial in these drinks. I especially love that they source their milk from Arethusa. My personal favorite was the banana foster, which I know is one of their best sellers.
My first time trying vegan Bubble Tea was a good one. Loose Leaf’s staff was transparent and helpful in confirming what was vegan and what wasn’t. I would definitely visit here again when we are passing through New Haven.
This was my first boba experience. Overall, not a fan. However! The young ladies working at this establishment were incredibly patient and kind. Although personally I did not find the appeal in the beverage itself, I was very pleased with the service and am sure anyone who likes boba will love this spot.
