The prices are what they are these days and so I'm not going to give them a low star rating bc the price of groceries everywhere is crap. That being said, their produce is top notch and I'm willing to pay a bit more for it. When they have sales and specials, they're WORTH it. I love their selection of fish and seafood and if I can't get to my local fish market I only buy my seafood from here. I will say, no matter the time or day I go, they don't always have a lot of maple leaf prime chicken products which I find interesting. As an alternative their Longos brand of poultry is pretty good, though. And I don't know what it is about this location specifically but everyone has always been so friendly and helpful no matter what area I'm visiting: deli, fish and seafood, bakery. And the cashiers are always very pleasant.
I went to this Longos to buy a drink today. I opened the can of drink on my way home. To my utter disappointment, the sparking drink had a yellow FIZZ on it, and I ignored it for some reason. I thought maybe it is part of the drink. When I took my first sip, it tasted almost like a strong chemical reaction, somewhat like mail polish remover. I checked the EXPIRY DATE, to find that this drink is over 35 days past the date. When I told the manager, and produce section co manager about this as I returned, explaining this is dangerous and I feel ill, they both stated that “this is buyers beware” with a dismissive attitude. They believed I wanted my $4 back.nnI urge all shoppers to be aware this Longos is well known to sell month old produce and products, especially at season end. As seen in my experience today, the management does not care about customer safety, and is not what Longos use to be back in the day.nnIt is sad to see unqualified managers run a store, and the quality go down in a neighborhood store that was once very trustworthy and reliable. I am debating writing to corporate regarding this, as month old products should not be on the floor. This is a serious safety hazard that this Longos location has not learned from, after their Covid incident back in 2020.
The Italian pizza with red sauce, normally a white pizza is great with premium ingredients and big enough for 3 people at half the price of other places. Just call ahead to the pizza bar. 20 minutes to pick up.
What a of a supermarket. Absolutely spotless, very well stocked. Tons of organic and , beautiful bouquets at the flower shop, good variety of freshly prepared sushi, rotisserie chicken, variety of fresh salads. Deli section offers freshly sliced deli items you can ask to taste any of the meats and . Organic bread and at the bakery, beautiful and even fresh macaroons!!! Starbucks counter at the entrance. Clean wheelchair accessible bathroom for customers. Wheelchair accessible entrance. Lots of free parking in the plaza.
The prices in this store are insane. You can drive 5 min to get same expired trash down the road at food basics, sometimes i wonder if they have same supplier. Honestly you're wasting your health and money coming here. Just don't
