Staff was good, when offering service. However, the wait empty restaurant to be seated was long. The staff seemed more concerned about golf and chatting amongst themselves than helping us. Congrats on the waiter on beating their personal best on golf. However, practicing your swing behind the bar isn't professional. Thanks for the excellent food.
I always heard good review about this particular location. Therefore, I decided to try this one skipping the nearby store from my place. I must admit I had a great experience with Lone Star Texas Grill. I didn't had to wait too long. Kids wanted to have a patio experience and got into one pretty quick. Server Jeremy came quick to take the drinks order and same happened for actual order too. But the wait time was a bit long...nonetheless we all enjoyed time delay. What could have been great...Nachos seemed a little bit dry and the same goes for El Paso Burger. But i'm not they are poor either. Steak was pretty awesome and they deserve 100% on that. Experience on food...to simply put yummy and delicious . What can be improved...they must reduce the wait time on foods. Kid-friendliness: I won't say there are tons of varieties but somewhat decent options are there. Parking: There are lots of parking availble. Anyone heading thereb should not be worried on parking. Wheelchair accessibility: There are a selected spots of accessible parking available. They same is applicable for entry to the restaurant.
The fajitas are still the best anywhere. And I’ve had fajitas everywhere, including Texas. The chicken fingers are pretty good, and the deep-fried pickles were not very good. So if you are looking for the best fajitas, you can find this is the apot.
First time I went to this restaurant was also the first time I head of this restaurant! Didn't know what to expect from a Tex Mex place, but I found it to be delightful. Once you are seated, you are given complementary Nachos, which were nice and warm and not too salty! Not completely familiar with Fajitas, I decided to order myself the Buffalo Chicken for one, while my friend got the Fajita Bowl. While it was a lot of food, I found the Buffalo Chicken to be more like cut-up Chicken Strips; don't get me wrong, I do enjoy my Chicken Strips, but it's not what I expected. But the flavour was tasty, the Buffalo Sauce was spicy enough that it wasn't uncomfortable. If this is a preview of what Texas Food is like, then I'm definitely excited to eat in the Lone Star State! Sangria was delightful, very hospitable and warm throughout our dining experience don't believe that's their real name, but it's a cute codename regardless. A bit pricey for lunch, but it's definitely worth checking out.
We had a great experience. Rider was our server and he was awesome. The food portions were great, and everything tasted really good. Thank you for a fantastic lunch!
Very busy due to the fathers day. Recommended to the reservation since only the patio is open. Good food, but not all the old menu items is available. They run out regular fries & cauliflower bites, little desipointed since I am vegetarian, only option for me to get , fried pickles & curly fries , which I am not fan of. My family did enjoyed their meals

Had an amazing experience with our server Peaches, by far one of the best experiences we’ve had at any lone star location. She has the kindest soul and was so sweet to my table, she constantly checked in on us at appropriate times and kept us updated about our food. Can’t wait to go back and request her as our server! Thanks so much Peaches!!
If in the Whitby movie plaza, don’t chose to eat here. Lone star use to be a staple for friends and I growing up in Pickering. Best patio and great atmosphere, the bill didn’t seem to matter at the end of the night because it was always a memory. I had been to the Whitby lone star location a few times when it first opened and even if the food wasn’t great it seemed like everyone in there was having fun, staff and customers. My first time coming back here since the lockdowns ended it was even worse than my previous bad experiences. I have never written a review about a restaurant before but this needs to be addressed as it was a planned night out. My family and I will not be returning. The waiter was friendly but seemed to disappear halfway through my meal that took an absurd amount of time after we ordered it we finished eating our meal that didn’t come with everything we ordered, had to track down another employee who was “covering for him” but we were not aware of this and had seen her socializing with other workers more than working. Finally we received our bill from the second waiter/waitress after waiting a long time and my wife and I decided our lone star days are over. They still have the best tortillas in town but when it comes to customer service they are probably not even top 10 in the plaza.
I visited this Lone Star location this evening with my partner and had a great experience, on top of a delicious meal. Our server also bartender I believe “Taco” was fantastic. He made great suggestions, was very knowledgeable about each dish that I asked about, and provided excellent service. The manager was also attentive and helpful, as well as the hostess. I will be driving from Toronto to here more often. 5 stars.
