London Drugs

My co-worker and I were shopping for a new camera for the business. We had hit up a couple big box electronic stores and we were very disappointed at the level of knowledge and service.. Then we found Spencer. He was waiting for us at the Rutherford LD camera department. Armed with a ton of knowledge and willingness to go above and beyond. He found us an amazing deal on some equipment from another LD store and had it transferred to Nanaimo. We were super impressed, and in the future this will be our store for all electronic and photography purchases.

It serves it's main purpose as a pharmacy but there is a a lot left to be desired in the other products they sell. The store really spreads itself thin trying to cater to broad a variety of items. It is useful if you need something that you would normally get somewhere else but can't for some reason.

My boyfriend and I went in after work today (Sept 8 @ 6:30pm). He was looking in the electronics department while I got some shampoo. When I came back to get him I passed the centre electronics counter where two male London Drugs employees stood chatting, pointing at my boyfriend. One employee said something to the effect of "I told you I have thief radar - and that guy is a thief." He offered to bet his coworker that my bf would steal something - I think the wager was $10 if I heard correctly. I gathered up my bf, and we went to a different retailer to make our purchase.

Went in to buy a middle of the road camera lens, and the total was just under $400. My card was declined so I checked my banking app, showing the money had been withdrawn. London Drugs said this happens sometimes and it will sort itself out. Called a manager and was given a long explanation and ended up leaving the store without a refund and without the lens. I am free to follow up with this myself, wasting my own personal time. I can come back after work tomorrow. They should have given me the lens since they have all my information on file plus my money. I'm sure when I call back tomorrow nobody will know anything about this.

The pharmacy staff are excellent and always go the extra mile. Best prices on Diabetic supplies around!!
