Loafer's Station

My friends and I had lunch here. We ordered an Irish cofree and it came with black coffee and whiskey. We told them an Irish coffee comes with whipped cream and baileys. The nice waitress apologized to us and said we were right. It was a new bartender. When we got our bill they added an extra $2 per drink for bailey's. When we asked to speak to the manager she was very rude and told us this is how they make them. We said why didn't you tell us you were going to charge us extra? Her answer was that they always do this and we should have asked. Really?

Classic American fare. As a vegan, there wasn't much on the menu for me, but I asked if they could make a pasta with some olive oil and vegetables, and it ended up being delicious. Not somewhere I'd return frequently because of my limited options, but worth visiting.

They do not know how to make an alcoholic drink beyond simple things like rum and coke. We sent our drinks back do to them not being made well, they charged us an extra $2 per drink to make them right. Even if that is how they make them, they could have told us it would cost more. The manager said they do not do this and we should have asked. I will not be back here. The manager was rude and abrupt. Terrible considering our server was nice.

I had the Cubano sandwich and salad and it was delicious! The friendly and easygoing atmosphere at the heart of downtown Albany make it a great lunch stop or meeting place for friends. :) Definitely recommend it!

Meal delivery was VERY SLOW .. 2 tables seated after us, received their meal before us. Manager came out, but could not explain why our meal hadn't been made, or when it could or would be delivered, even tho it was 1 hr after being seated.
